Is this amp bridgable?

Here is the situation, I am looking into buying some 100wrms component speakers. I found this amp (Alpine MRH-F255) in my friends trunk and he said I could have it. After searching the internet i found out that it is running 35X4rms along with a subwoofer channel. Does anyone know how I would go about bridging this amp into a 2 channel (if its even possible). This amp is running a wire harness for its speaker outputs and so I have absolutely no idea on how I would bridge it... And if I cant bridge it, would 35 watts sound better than just the head unit to power the speakers (most likely Alpine spr-17s or sps-600c)?

My second question is if i do deside to use the amp, I know i would have to buy a seperate wiring kit, but would I use the same remote wire that I use for my mono channel amp and just split it? Im new at this and am still not entirely sure what the remote even does.
Thanks for any help

SAE1200, something wrong?

I had my sae1200 for quite some time. Then got an SAZ1500, planned on getting a dc lvl 4xl, but got a great price on a normal lvl 4, so I went with that and sold the SAZ1500 and started using my sae1200 again.

I've been trying to set the gains with my dmm, But I've run into a problem.
At first I thought it might be the headunit, but I switched headunits and the problem still persists.

When I set my gains with the DMM and the subs not connected to the aim, I set it to 30v, which is down slightly from 1000/sqrt 1
All EQ's and bass boosts are set to 0. Headunit volume set to 23/35, sub volume set to 7/15

When I connect the sub, and play a 50 hz tone, I start the hu volume at 0, then slowly move toward 23. the amp voltage goes from about 1 to 10. At about 17 volume, it reaches 10. Then 1 click after that the voltage jumps to 40.

When I did this with my SAZ, I set the gains according the the procedure I detailed above. Then tested it by playing a 50hz tone with the subs plugged in. And the voltage was almost the same as when the subs were not plugged in.

I've tried several tones, and tried adjusting the subsonic filters and lowpass filter.

What do you think is the problem???

Circuit Breakers vs Fuses.

my mind keeps changing ever day while i'm trying to save on what amp to get. i know its going to be a sundown. but which one? i was leaning toward the 4500. but the used 3000's looked nice. now the 3500 seem to be offering a little more. so after looking, the 3500's do not have any fuses. i really dont like fuses because when i did, it kept blowing (it was a low amp like maybe 50 or so for the whole system, 3 1000w amps and a yellow top, after the stock battery). so i upgraded it to a 250amp monster fuse, worked perfect. i have seemed to have lost my fuse so someone said "Get a circuit breaker instead". just wondering whats your ideas on Fuses and on Circuit breakers.

4 years ago or so I got a SWEET deal on 6 Optima Red Tops. I can't find the guy and I don't remember what company he's from. Ring any bells for anyone?

Anyway most people don't run Optima, why not? I'm assuming because more hours of sotrage can be had for less? I like the idea of dry/gel cells so that I can mount them any way I want inside the vehicle and no hydrogen gas released from charging.

Anyone know if this guy is still around? What other options should I consider?

Thanks!

Hifonics Olympus any good or not?

Ok so I have one 12" ssd, with 700 watts, and im upgrading to 1200+ watts with the sundown 1200d v.2. Im not sure if I want to buy another ssd and make a new box, or just replace my existing ssd with one sub that can handle the power (and keep my existing box). I was browsing and found the hifonics olympus "olm1612," which does 1600rms bl=11, mms=204, fs=35.5. Given this sub's fs, can I still tune it to 32hz? And what does everyone think about hifonic's subs? I have always known their products, particularly their amps, to be somewhat cheap and overrated.

need help finding plexiglass glue

What I planned on doing is glueing a layer of plexiglass over the top of painted mdf. I want it to dry clear so there will be no glue marks. Is there anything out there that can do this? I have looked and all I could find was plexi to plexi glue. Any finds would be greatly appreciated.

Funky Pup Dust Caps Available Here

Alright, folks made some good suggestions on how to keep the mad DeeBeezz flowing by way of Funky Pup Dust Caps. Making them available to SSA members makes good sense to me, so here are the details on how you can acquire some:

- PM me through this site
- Tell me what size you want and quantity (available in 10", 12" and 15")
- Give me your full mailing address
- PayPal me $10 (per pair); my PayPal address is sales<at>mach5audio.com
- Be patient - it will take 2-3 weeks before you see them, not 2-3 hours or 2-3 days

The price includes shipping. I send them out in large bubble-lined envelopes via Canada Post ground service. If after 2-3 weeks you do not receive your dust caps someone at the post office probably wanted them for themselves because they understand the Pups capabilities. If this happens, PM me and I will look into it or send out replacements.

Thanks and happy DeeBeezzz,
Right now i have a pair of focal access 570ca1's which will be going in the back doors then most likely a set of components for the fronts. I want a system that can really hit the lows. I have been looking at several subs like rockford 12t2d2 or a jl 13 w7 but cant decide between either or if I should just go with something like a 12 fi bl. I am looking at all these subs because they all have an rms of around 1000 watts and I dont think my car will be able to keep up with much more than a 2 channel and a 1000 watt mono. I will probably be looking at using either jl or rockford amps.

t20001bd water issue

My amp is mounted in the middle of my trunk and today i had to take everything out to install some more spl tiles i got in the mail, when i put everything back in and opened my trunk, a drop or 2 of water (it has been raining the past 3 days in st louis) fell onto the circuit board of my t2k...it fell in right by the phase switch. After that when i turned the car on, the sub (FI BTL) was making a awful low scratching noise, at first i figured it was the rca's to close to a power wire, messed around with the rca's which helped a little. I finally figured out it had to have been the water when i unplugged the RCA's and it continued making the noise until i unplugged the speaker wires. it went anywhere from the small scratching noise, to a high pitch squeal, i hit it with the blow dryer on the lowest setting for about a minute which also seemed to help a little.

anyone have any idea on what i should do? my next step is taking off the top of the t2k and physically drying it all and wiping away any water spots.

btw, the sub will still play but i dont like hearing distortion from my 500 dollar sub, also the VC is not blown, i pushed in on the sub (while amp was turned off) and didnt hear any scratching.

what is pioneers bfc?

i got a pos pioneer gm-5300t 2ch amp for my gfs car as a temp. amp while my mtx 7801 she was using is being repaired, when i got the pioneer one of the speaker output terminals was messed up and it keeps blowing fuses after playing it for a while, so i opened it up and removed the speaker terminals and soldiered 16ga wire to the board (the way all amps should be imo) and i bypassed the fuseing by soldiering a piece of 12ga wire across all the soldier points on the board for the fuses and i am going to run an 80amp external fuse, anyways i noticed a switch on the board that said bfc on the bottom and spl on the top and it was switched to bfc im curious to what this is and if it would be any advantage to flip it the the spl side? i read in the manual and it said that , if you hear a beat while listining to an AM broadcast to flip it with a small screwdriver. anyone know?

I know normally the alt isn't used for transient loads, but would it be at all possible to hook up a power wire to the alt and send it straight to the amp, using a high capacity cap somewhere along the way to stiffen the voltage during amp draws? I was thinking that in this scenario, the cap would be acting just like a battery

Questions on the Kenwood DDX514

So I just picked up a 2005 TrailBlazer and the factory Head Unit has to go....

I have alway like Kenwood head Units so, I'm looking at the Kenwood DDX514....

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DDX514/Kenwood-DDX514.html?tp=20217

It seems to cover most of my wants...

Nice Bright easy to see/read display in all lighting conditions. If its going to have one, it might as well be good!
Ipod control, not just Aux input, but seemingly native controls with Album art, playlists and all (need a 30.00 cable)
Ability to hook up an HD tunner (extra 80 bucks I think)
Ability to hook up a Sirius (again Controls it natively, not just a aux input) (I have sirus and love it for travel)
Ability to add Navigation module (not huge deal, already have a upper end garmin that I'm real happy with)
Does have Aux, so if I come up with something new, I can pipe it in.
Front and Rear USB Ports (no plans for them, but I'd be glad to have'em, keeps futher options open and seems like an easy way for Firmware upgrades)
Plays may formats of media on Burnt CDs and DVDs and re-writables... Some units, won't do Burnt especially DVDs...
Decent price, I think its just under 600.00, before add on modules...

Dual Zone, so I can hook up something for the kid in the back seat if I want to later (probably wont)
I'm sure there are a few more things that are pluses, but Nothing big...

Now my Complaints
Doesn't come with the Stupid Wireless remote (WTF kind D.B. move is that????) (extra 30.00) (Good news is its cheap to replace, my last one was a 100.00, still looking for that MF'er)
Looks like it does not have a dedicated Sub Pre Out...
It has a Dedicated Front Pre-out and the Rear is Switchable from Full Range to Sub only??? (Another D.B. move, who that puts in a mid grade headunit with features like this doesn't want 6 Channels of Output??? F+R+S
I'm thinking that is a deal breaker for me... I want F+R+S Pre-Outs....

Thoughts, are I just being stuborn on the preouts?

Is there another unit that everything I mentioned above????

Question for BTL 15" enclosure in Buick.

Hello,
So i'm finally deciding to change my setup in my '90 Regal and i definately would like to go with some BTL subs. I'm starting to plan everything out beforehand so i figured i'd ask your opinions first. I'm planning on going with a ported box and having it forward facing (blocking off the trunk.) So the rear seat would be removed. I calculated my max box size i can fit ... and it comes to just over 3.3 cubic feet. This is the I.D. of the box and the woofer has a .21 displacement so i'm at just a tad over the 3 cubic feet mark.
Now FI recommends a 3-5 cubic feet box size. I plan on playing mostly hip hop/rap with big bass notes. Would i be fine with only having a 3 cubic feet box? Or is it mandatory that with bigger bass i'd need to go with the maximum box size which would be on the 4-5 cubic feet level? What exactly would i be losing out on by having a smaller box?
My only other option would be to use (2) BTL 12" subs instead but i kind of wanted to go with the 15's.

BTW i plan on powering EACH sub with around 2500-3000 max watts RMS. I have plenty of power to do it if your wondering... it'll have a dual alternator setup.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Tuning for 2 10in BLs

Im currently using the RE Enclosure calculator (http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html) and after putting in the dimensions I can fit in my trunk and Im playing around with port size and what not and I was curious, the "tech" section on the Fi site says the recommended tuning is 33hz, I can only get my box to fit if I tune it around 34hz, is this an issue? would it be better to be lower than ideal if you cant get the ideal 33hz like 32hz instead... Or am I not even gonna notice? Also, again refering to the "tech" section, for the 10s it recommends 15 square inches of vent per cubic foot of air space, is it a major issue if I can only work around 12 square inches?

Specs for the box for two 10in Fi Bls
Air space after woofer displacement: 2.475 Cubic Ft
Square Port Area: 31.25
Tuned Frequency: 33.79hz

Good enough?

Also side question, is there any disadvantage to having it built with the universal option as opposed to not?

Anyway its 2 BL 18s, and 2 sundown 1500ds strapped. I had subs up, port back, 20 cubes before port and subs tuned to 33hz. It sounded great and definitely had the lows. box before was this:
then i had new design done for wall behind front seats, same tuning, and specs, both boxes with 200+ square inches of port, wall box:

Both boxes designed by chris at fishercustoms. I never use backseat anyway, but not sure if will make big difference as in louder if i go with a wall. any suggestions? or just go back how it was?

When I had two Hifonics amplifiers of comparable power for sale last spring I got literally flooded with demand, and I asked just about the same amount of money. Although they were unused.

Here's what's for sale.
Keep in mind I live in Canada. Not easy to get Fi up here, and Soundstream is not seen often.

$300 - 12" Fi BL - Dual 2, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily
$300 - Soundstream Tarantula TRX1500D
$200 - Soundstream Tarantula TRX2.550

Was thinking about knocking $50 off everything.
Let me know what else I should try. I even offered free shipping on the amps to anywhere in Ontario/Quebec.

Here's the ads anyways:

jimmy front end problems

alright so today we were drivin and all the sudden something under the passenger side started clicking.
you could feel it on your feet. if felt like the tire had a knot in it or something. so we kept driving and we stopped a cvs for about 10 minutes.
when we left cvs we turned right and then the right side started clanking and grinding. it was loud. so everytime we turned right it started doing this.
when the brakes were hit it stopped making the noise.

so we finally got home and let it sit for about an hour and then went to the gas station and now its doing it on both sides. i have no idea what it is.
im thinking maybe the cv joints or ball joints? i dont really know though. i dont think that would make both sides mess up in less then 2 hours.
i was on another forum and a guy said the same thing happened to him and he thought it was the cv joints but all he had to do was change the differential fluid.
your suppose to change it about every 30,000 miles. since ive had my jimmy weve put about 40,000 on it and i dont know how long itd been since itd been change before i got it. so does anybody have any ideas?

Hey, everyone. On www.sonicelectronix.com, i have found a pair of Alpine Type-X reference series component speakers that, including dynomat and baffles, will run me about 200 dollars out the door. These speakers are running 300 dollars for just the speakers on Alpine's site. The only problem is there is no shops around that have these speakers available to listen to....
What are your opinions on this speaker and would you have any other recomendations (perferably costing less money?). At the moment i am running stock 5X7's in both the doors and the rear deck so anything will be an improvement. I want something with a high quality sound and i've heard good about Alpine. i'll take any advise you can give.

Advice on my new ride

Hello everyone, I was quite out of the scenario for family reasons, but always checking what's new in SSA.

Recently I change my ride for an 06 Navigator ultimate, I keep most of the equipments of the town car like the audiocontrol LC7, the lanzar OPTIX10 crossover, the memphis ST1000D mono amp and the 2 subs Ascendant Audio Chaos 10". I'm interest in create an sq system with what I got now and add a few more things like component speakers, damping material, etc. also i was thinking in build a custom center console in the second row, that house the subs, cause i need all the cargo space for my job. Where i'm totally lost is in the eficiency of the subs in a small sealed box and if the amp will provide enough power for them.

so any ideas or sugestions on what can i do to achieve my goals?

if you ask what's the budget, $2,500.00.
thanks in advance.

Fi BTL's power upgrade requirements?

Hi, I am driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee (1993) and my current set up is a Memphis MOJO on an Alpine PDX 1.1000. As far as wiring, i have 4 AWG power wire for the amp (Knukonceptz Kolossus Fleks Kable), and I have put in a 0 AWG wire (also Knu) for the battery to chassis ground. I was going to complete the big 3, but was told by a mechanic that the other two were not necessary for my setup (stock 90 amp alt currently.) I receive decent voltage drops (almost massive at idle if i'm not careful.) About 3 weeks a go, my voltage dropped to the point that my amp went into clipping (or at least this is what I think caused it. Gain is set right on or a little below half). Long story short, the MOJO's surround cracked and is now out of commission. I recently ordered a 12" FI BTL (Fully loaded) to take the MOJO's place, but I have some questions.

1. As for my current enclosure, it is 3.65 Cubes net at 34-35 hertz. Will i need to place some wood or something inside to reduce it to around 3, or will it be okay in the large box.

2. As far as power upgrades, i will soon add a Kinetic battery (prob 1400) in the rear to handle the amp. Will I need to finish the big 3? Does the wire between the batteries need to be fused and should i upgrade it to 0 AWG also?

3. I plan on upgrading to a sundown amp before too long. I will purchase a larger kinetik battery(How big?) and put the 1400 up front. By then i will have all 0 AWG wiring. I was wondering if the SAZ-3500D will sound good on 2 BTL subs (I know its underpowered, but I'm on a budget {being 16 and working minimum wage with a Jeep that gets 12 miles to the gallon doesn't help much} ,and don't feel like making the same mistake twice.)

4. Where can i find a decent box plan for 2 12" BTL sub woofers at around 32-33 hertz? (I heard that its best to have them up firing with port toward rear.) I built the last box by myself (Took me around 8 hrs, but it was a first time build) out of 3/4" MDF with double baffle front. The only complication i had out of it is that i cut my hole just a little to large (cut around 11.5 and should have been closer to 11.) I really don't want to build a new box until I decide to order another BTL, so I think that i will try and make this work by using the same holes as the MOJO used.

Thanks to all that help. Sorry for the extreme multitude of questions, but i am still learning a lot about the car audio installation and tuning process. Any reply is appreciated!

I havent been on this forum in months so I did a lil update I am currently running 2 btls on 2 audioque 2200's. The subs are D/2 fully loaded. I have a 220 iraggi alt. The big 3, 4 kinetik 2400 batts and 1 yellow top under the hood. Here is a couple pics of the equip stripped from the car getting ready to upgrade. Now the question I was going to run the subs just 1 sundown 3500 wired to .5 ohms (just til I get the money to buy a second amp). But I read in another thread that it is hard on the subs. I didnt know that i thought it was only hard on the amps if your electrical couldnt back it up.

new system- need ideas

so i am looking into getting a chevy blazer here in about 2 weeks. i want to put a system in it. i had a Fi Q 15 in a chevy colorado ext cab but it was only running off a visionk 600watt wayyyyyy under powered and complete bs. but yet still sounded pretty good lol.

soo to the point. i am pretty sure i want to go with two 15s or maybe two 12s. i am going be doing a big 3 upgrade, changing the main battery, possibly upgrading the alt to a 270 or 300 but deff the big 3 and battery for sure. so im not sure what to go with. i want to get stupid lows and nice pressure so people are like DAMMMMM, i am not really to worried about the SQ issue. i mean as long as it sounds good and doesnt just sound like it is being recorded through a phone or w.e yeah im ok i mean it is spl so yeah. but i would like some amounts of SQ to be in there as well. so i am thinking maybe throw two 12 bl or maybe two 15 Q. not sure yet haven't really settled on one yet

looking for some help and ideas as far as speakers goes for good spl as a daily driver i dont need to be hitting like 150 but i mean 142 or something would be cool and have it sound decently clear.
also any suggestion with amp suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to wire four 4 ohm dvc subs to a 2 channel amp, with each channel seeing 2 ohms? I have them running at four ohms, but can you use series and parallel wiring to create this load? If I set each sub in parallel wiring (+ to + and - to -, right?)and then run the - from one channel to one sub, the positive from that channel to the other sub, and a wire connecting the other + and - terminals from sub to sub, would this do it? Here's what I'm talking about. (pic may not work) Just hooked up these subs, but they sound distorted and just terrible, will they sound better after they break in, or just lower/louder? Replaced 4 RF P1 12's with 4 infinity 1252w's, and I miss the rockfords.
Right now I have 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punches from the 90s in a ported box. They are in the corner of my room, and can be heard from anywhere in the house. They aren't that loud though, being so old. But they do pretty good. They shake the siding of my house pretty good. How much louder do you think the SSD will be (assuming its in a well built box @33hz) ?

Hello all,
am new to this forum and seeking help. I currently have a 850CCA battery under the hood and wanting your opinion on adding either the KHC 16V Power Cell or the KHC 2000 to my system. I was thinking that the 16V would supply the voltage to the amp to put out full power and do a good job supply power, while with the KHC 2000 i may still have the 13.8 volts that i currently have ( or not, am not sure) but will surely have the power needed to run the system. I have a 230 amp HO alternator and the big 3 done (jointed 2 4 gauge wires together for each run, may need to change to 0 gauge?). I have a AQ2200D amp and 2 12" Incriminator Audio Death Rows. Which power cell would be the better choice for this application?
Thank in advance for your response.

Trunk Bass Cancellation???

I currently drive a 2006 galant and i have been having trouble with getting upper bass( about 50hz and up) out of any setups i have ran. Any where above i say about 50hz is extrememly quiet, while anything below is gets low & loud, .... Set-ups i have ran include:

1. (2) infinity reference 12's
-kenwood 9103d @ about 500 R.M.S.
- 1.25 Sealed each before sub displacement
- rear firing

2. (4) Pioneer Champion Series Tsw-304
- Kenwood 9103d @ 1ohm - about 800-900 R.M.S
- about 1.1 sealed each after displacement and bracing
- up firing sealed enclosure

Current & temporary setup:
(1) Kicker Cvr 15
- Audiopipe 30001d @ 2ohms - about 900Rms
- 2.45 Sealed
- Rear firing

I do realize that none of these speakers are top 10 drivers but i dont think it is the driver at fault here, since i have had them installed in other vehicles with better results...i have been thinking going ported on my next setup since Im pretty sure that the problems extends pass my crossover settings since i have adjusted them over a million times it seems.I usually set my crossover at around 60 hz because setting it higher yields no better results, with no bass boost. I have tried using the bass boost but it jux makes it worse.I have also tried switching polarity and changing firing direction. If anyone could offer me any helpful information about gaining output on the upper end or direct me to a answer i would appreciate it....

Thanks,

alright i thought about this and figured it would be alot cheaper and alot more fun to do it this way. I figured everyone that is on team sundown that is going to sbn instead of getting a hotel room we should try to find a big ass vacation home. i have an air mattress and stuff so i dont mind sleeping on the floor and what not. it would also be alot cheaper i think for everyone. im sure we could find a big home we could cram lots of people in and im sure we have enough vehicles that seat enough people that we could caravan people to and from the show.

we could leave the wives back at the house and let them all do their own thing since im sure none of them want to be up early and go in like we do. plus most would like hang out at the beach during the day or at least i know mine would. i already suggested this to a few people but i was just curious on getting other peoples input. i think its a HUGE way to save on cost since the hotels there are so steep price wise and it will be better for the team after the show we can hold our own party at the crib a keg or 2

so cal audio shops

so ive been to nearly every shop in orange county, and a few outside of it still in so cal and they are all a joke. they dont know anything, and push products that are absolute crap, like nitro. they have never heard of any brands such as SSA, FI, IA, TC, DC, AA, and only a few know RE. we on here know what is good and what is crap. and the worst part is that when you try to tell them about these brands they tell you that they are internet junk and have no warranties and downplay you all together. EVEN when you play your system for them thye still say its just ok but kicker CVR's or L7's are better. SO kicker CVR's and L7's are better than anything FI, SSA, DC, IA, etc? haha ok! its just pathetic that southern cali has no shops that even have their head halfway out of their ass. IS THERE EVEN ONE SHOP HERE THAT KNOWS ANYTHING?? so im looking for answers for a decent shop, because these are a disgrace to car audio.

low end extension, high efficiency, or small enclosure size

i know you have to chose two. and im looking at: low end and small enclosure

how does the tuning and port area affect this?
does it mean i need more port and a higher tuning?
also assuming more power will be needed?

SAE-1000D Concern - blown fuses- possible melting

what would cause fuses to blow on the amp? i dont know if the plastic casing on the fuses just expanded from poppin or the casing of the fuse was slightly melted. there are 3 30a fuses, i am using a 100a maxi fuse on the battery wire (4g). i was using 12g for the speaker wire, witch i now upgraded to 9g after installing the new fuses. the amp seemed to be fine when i checked it out after cutting out. is there a certain fuse you recommend for the amp or size? also, should i use the same size wire to wire the sub inside of the box as same as the speaker wire i got running from the amp? its probably about 12g inside. thanks

Confused about caps and bats

Okay fellas. I need some help with this one cause i'm finally at the point i have no clue what to do. I have an 03 Ford Taurus. Im running two RE SX 12D2's on two Lunar L1500's and Rockford Fosgate Power 4004. (If you wanna see my amps heres the link: http://www.lunaramplifiers.com/product_3_2.html) Ive heard all about the big 3 upgrade and i wanted to do it. But, the damn power wire runs through the front fuse box as well as the alternator wire. Making it virtually impossible to do it unless someone can help me with that. Seeing as how i was faced with that dilema, my problem arises. I've read and researched bats and caps and my original setup had a 800 Kinetik in the trunk. But for some reason, it doesnt last. even after being recharged. Since i cant do the big 3 upgrade, would it be better just to run a 2 farad cap instead and not put the additional load on the alt? Contious play with that extra bat had major bass drop. The alt has been replace with a fresh stock on and i plan on getting an iraggi 220. Need some help friends....

LOOK OUT DONT BUY THIS!!! BUYER BEWARE

Ok, so I bought a HO alt for my taurus 2 weeks ago from a place called Quality Power Auto. The alt I bought was a 200 amp max and 125 amp at idle I paid just shy of 300 shipped to my house. I put the alt in the car today and well as the title would suggest I am VERY disappointed in the performance of this thing. First this thing has the voltage caped at 14.1 volt which is bull shit bc the stocker would do 14.4 solid in 90 degree heat in a traffic jam. At idle this alt would drop into the low 12's (like 12.1 to 12.0V) with nothing on but the head lights. It would not make all wopping 14.1 volts untill almost 3K rpm!!!!!! I tested this POS on only one of my nine.1s that has a max current draw of 130 amps and that amp with a full 30htz burp and the engine at 4k rmp dropped the voltage into the 10's !!!!!! Bottom line NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SAMMERS!!

ok so im running two CVX 12" @ 2ohm currently running them on a Kicker ZX 750.1 amp
I know i am underpowering these subs. I am hopeing to get a 1,600 or a 2,000 watt hifonics amp

Now my Question is are the hifonics amp's really good ? i hear good things about them
and will a 1600 watt push the two VCX's really well or would it be best to have the 2,000 watt amp.
Would i regret getting the 1600.

i like my current kicker amp But it pretty simple amp and most def not strong enough
