Fi Q vs Havoc 15 drop in comparison

Recommended Posts

I have the ability to do a drop in head to head test w/ TermLab results between a Havoc and a Q 15 ported tomorrow.

Anyone interested? And any other test you guys want? I have a TermLab, a Havoc 15, and a Q 15 so all is good to compare if there is interest!

This will be great. There are a TON of questions about the comparison between these two subs. Post your results in a new thread. Might get a sticky if it's nice enough. :)

Are you going to try both subs in the exact same box or are you going to try them in the same alignment?

ive always heard its was a step between the Q and BL, but thats all rumor.

here's and idea, test all three. Fi Q, AA Havoc, and Fi BL.

The BL won't sound nothing like the Q, or Havoc, cause of the solid pole.

I assume it'll get louder than both, but I bet the Q and Havoc will sound better.

Oh dear lord. I forgot about this topic. Didn't know there was that much interest. Guess I need to do it! I've still got a week of break. I promise I'll get it done before I leave! The only thing is that the box is a little big for the Q, but it should be alright... It's not too big and the subsonic will be on...

Do it do it!

Ive got my own conclusions from testing and from dealers and customers that have use with both. But none of which have ever been posted.

Havoc is considered AAs sound quality driver. The fact that it takes decent power and can be pushed to be loud is a plus in most dealers books. For most dealers having a dainty pure SQ sub just doesnt sell... the Havocs definitely do :)

Thanks,

Scott
