I have owned a 13w7 previously and I was not impressed especially for the price. I also hate how they have 1.5ohm coils. I built 3 different boxes for the thing and at times the bass seemed muddy with every box. Currently I own (2) 12" Xcons and I love them. I can say you will not be disappointed if you purchase the Xcon as I believe it is the far superior choice between the two.

I was going to wait until I had finished everything, but by the time my subs get here I will be too old to type. haha --- Previous setup (~147 on music) Fi Audio Generation 2 BTL 18 Sundown Audio 3000D 2 Optima Yellow Tops Sundown Audio 50.4 Polk Audio component sets in the front doors and kicks --- What's going in 2 Fi Audio Generation 3 BTL N2's (18s) Sundown Audio 3000D (.5 ohm) 4 Optima Yellow Tops, some sort of group 31 in the oem secondary battery tray not changing the component sets in the kicks/doors leaving the 50.4 adding 3-4 apt super tweeters and some selenium mids for rear fill (just when I'm at shows with the hatch open) And some pictures; First part of the new system to arrive; 250SP Before After The Idea; Trying to form the idea into reality Everything out and ready for the box Slid the box in Had to get some more power for the .5 ohm transition Still waiting on the VCM, Waiting on FI for the subs. Both are great speakers. I have owned 4 13w7s on 4 1000/1v2s and it sounded pretty good and got decently loud. I have never heard an Xcon, but I have heard Icons and I actually liked them better than the w7s. I'm sure I'd like the Xcon better than the I con as well. Another thing to think about if you go with the w7. If you do ever blow it and need a recone, be prepared to pay about as much as you're paying for the sub itself now.

BTW, 2 cubes sealed, 1.5 sealed and lightly stuffed with polyfill and you will be able to throw the RMS at it and a little more.

Back from Ace. Love the way the amp mounts.

Probably Dual 1 and Dual 2 like the Xcon, regardless they will have the wiring options to get to the ohm loads you need. Updates will be posted when they have something to update with, you will find out just like everyone else any new information.

Proof required, on both claims. And I can link you to some reviews of cheap Sony amps showing that even they produce rated power output.....so I'm not so sure your "very few brands put out rated power" is even remotely accurate to start with. x2, I'm pretty sick and tired of people thinking mainstream products are bad and "underground" "competition" brands are the only way to go... <------ Waiting for someone to post that link to Jacob's comparative amplifier test. I'm so sick of having to explain that link..... This link ?

Didn't get much of anything done today. The beginning of the amp rack. Ended up breaking the nozzle on the glue bottle trying to open it lol. Didn't want the glue to go bad, so I had to close it somehow.

Ease of "calculating" a parameter that WinISD will figure for you with the basic T/S parameters entered hardly seems a "quality" to me in the first place. The square driver is valid in concept, it does give you more cone area for a given sized baffle. The problem has been with the drivers that have actually used square cones and the issue of dealing with the focused stress points created by the shape.
