After seeing bigjon and Danielle's new puppy, I thought it would be fun to share a few pics of my furry friends. Here is our little girl Maude at 2 months, we picked her at 2 weeks and she has been fantastic - At about 3 months - Here's one of her guarding some of the goods (only the alt. and batteries actually made it into the build) - Photobucket is acting up, I'll post more when it decides to work. I know there are many four legged family members here at SSA, feel free to share some shots of your very own foot warmers.

Rated RMS power handling isn't a power recommendation, as I stated above it's simply the point at which things can potentially start to break. It's not a power minimum, it's a recommended power maximum. There are two types of power handling: Thermal and mechanical. Thermal power handling is how much power the voice coil is able to accept before it begins to overheat, which can lead to failure. It is primarily based on the design of the driver; the size and design of the voice coil and how well the voice coil can dissipate heat. Mechanical power handling is how much power the driver is able to accept before you exceed it's suspension/excursion limitations. This is based on both the driver and more importantly the enclosure. Rated RMS power handling is typically a thermal rating. Since mechanical power handling is determined mostly by the enclosure, depending on the type and design of the enclosure it's entirely possible to mechanically damage a driver with the rated RMS power if that enclosure allows the driver to exceed it's mechanical limits with that level of power.

Here's our new Miniature Australian Shepherd, Abbey. These pics were taken when she was about 5 weeks old. Now she's almost 9 weeks. We've also got two cats, but I don't have any recent pics of them.

My 70 lbs Black Lab Lucy. we got her a year and a half ago as a rescue. She was abused by the previous owners in Northern Michigan. Nothing but good times with her since. On a 9 hour car ride to visit my brother She needed some ice cold A/C wanting to cuddle Right when we got her at about 6 months old She is the best $200 i ever spent. Currently, she's sleeping on the couch next to me.
