I hope you're not putting the crossovers in the doors. The water/moisture isn't good for them.

I get this question about 30 times a day so I figured I would just make a thread to kind of explain. When we started talking about starting Flatline the first thing that we said was that we wanted to be different. Different look , different customer service just different all around the board. Finding the layout that we have was not easy to do by any means. Honestly we were about to give up on it before the buildhouse showed us these boards that are brand new as far as our FL1 and FL2 are concerned. So to get into the heart of things lets look at our bigger units. I know everyone wonders how our 7k and 8.5k amplifiers make power with whats inside of them. Well our amps are taller than most other companies, and the reason behind that is because everything in our amplifiers are double stacked as far as the toroids and transformers. The capacitors we use are bigger than most companies there fore there are less used. Honestly you just have to see these monsters in person to see what i mean. So look at it like this lets say another companies 7k has 8 transformers it will have only 4 techinally speaking there are still 8 there just 4 that are double stacked. Hopefully that makes since and on the output side there are 2 instead of 4 but ther again they are still double stacked so there are techinally still 4. To sum everything up they are the most efficient amplifiers that our build house has to offer and thats what we wanted. We have seen improvement from most customers that have bought our amps doing a direct swap from another companies to ours. So just stay tuned we have a alot of things still working our run is running a little behind scheudle which is throwing things off a little we are working on a 9.5k which will be a 18v unit it will be basically the same as the El Jefe' just it will run @18v instead of 16v. We are also waiting on protos of the 500.2 and our 4 channel that we will offer which will be a 150.4.

Just to give you a idea of how our customer service is gonna tell ya a story of what happened back in march for SBN. So we placed a order for amps for a few of our competitors for SBN. They were suppose to be in the Monday before SBN which would have been fine but low and behold things never go as they are suppose to. Anyway got a email from the build house that they wouldn't be arriving in Dallas until Wens. So problem number 1 arises amps not gonna be here on time. So I made a call to MR Robin Butler aka imamamp3pimp, and discussed the situation and I let him know the only solution that I could come up with. Me driving to Dallas to pick up the amps and doing a turn around trip to Florida and deliver the amps on Thurs so that they would have them in time for the show. So my wife and I left Louisiana for Dallas which is 4 hours away picked the amps up from the Depot and arrived back home around 10pm that night. After checking every unit to make sure they were functional. I finally got in bed around 2 am only to get up at 5am and leave for Florida. Finally arrived in Florida around 2pm to meet Robins wife who picked up 5 8.5k and 2 7ks. Which was fun making fit in a car by the way back seat was stacked and the floor boards lol. Anyway to make a long story short the Tahoe and the S10 were at the show along with the Blazer. Trippi Congo took 3 of his 6 8.5ks for his Hummer that's being rebuilt as we speak hopefully that will be finished and rockin and rolling soon. I'm just trying to give you guys a idea of how far we go for customer satisfaction, if there is truly anything that we can do for any customer that we have we will believe me I have come out of pocket for a few that we have just because they just didn't have the money. And when I say out of pocket I literally mean out of pocket not cutting a deal or discount. You can ask anyone from Zaim to Hank or any one else who has a amp hell you if you look hard enough you can find my cell number. I have stayed on the phone at 8 or 9:00 pm talking to customers that haven't bought a thing but hey they were curious about the amps and that's what were here for. We are hoping that some of you may get to experience the Customer Service for yourselves one day.

Well we look at it this way, without customers there is no Flatline, so our way of thinking is to go above and beyond to help you guys out on anything that we can.

Yea we've been on the consumer side and sometime companies let things slip through the cracks and things dont get taken care of. I do my best to make sure that doesnt happen.

Only if he has a DAT. Umm, no. Better recordings or different music. No such thing as stage when it comes to subs either...unless of course you have them in a stereo pair up front. Those processors aren't meant to restore bass or reconstruct bass, they are meant to add bass where it doesn't exist. Confusing to me why you'd want bassless music with bass. And OP, why even add an EQ or replace your HU? "Clean up" is not something an EQ can do. If you have an anomaly to tame or pull down then perhaps. Most people fall into the more adjustments is better and end up with worse sound. I knew your reply would be attacking mine lol. There's reasons why some people modify music. They feel there should be more bass in certain songs or mid or highs..... I've come across numerous songs where I didn't like how they were mastered. Highs and lows. Better recordings? Most anything you download now is 320kbps or 256kbps sample rates. To go beyond that, you need the original format which isn't always available. That being said, 320kbps is fine for most people, which most people can't even hear the difference between 256 and 320, I believe I do and the difference from 320 to lossless. Also, substage has been adopted as a term just like SQL has. They're both there, they're both commonly used so deal with it. So ummm, yes, more substage if you want more out of certain songs. That's why I use an LC-1.

It wasn't just "bassless" music... It's music where perhaps the bass is "weak" and desire to have more added to it. No way I can hear it? Glad you know what I can and can't hear lol.
