I accidentally put a post about box help in the build log section the other day but this will be where I put my build log if anyone who can wants to delete that box help thread but to the build 2 zcon 18s Saz 5000d Xs 2400 Xs 7500 Two runs of 1/0 gauge positive and negative Pioneer touchscreen Kicker 350.4 Singer 6 phase alt Bulk pack of damlifier pro And I think I'm going with the ia component set I will upload more pics when I get home but I need permission from ssa to do this so if they give me a thumbs up I'm going to cut out pretty much a metal box with this design on the sides with no ends so I can run all my wire down the middle on the floor board through it and have some leds inside to make it glow out

Obviously, there is also a point of diminishing return...

In general I REFUSE to use any of my background as justification for any discussion. My words can speak for themselves, but in this case since it is specifically about testing I thought a glimpse of what my normal world is like might shed some light on things.

I would highly suggest not to do so. I guess you "could" send you zcon to PSI, then order zv4 softparts, and send that to them as well. But, even still, the measurements might not line up, and could sound like poop. Well my voice coil is all messed up right now on the Zcon,so I'm thinking about an upgrade. I have it running on a 3500 no clipping and not ran below 12 volts I don't know why the coils are going out. One of the coils are reading 20.8 and changing constantly but the other coil is 2.4 a sign that it is also going out I just want something that can handle the power Lol. Installation issue man, not sub. I played my zcon full tilt on my bc5500 for 8 months. I have had this sub in my car for 1 year 2 months defiantly not a installation issue. It could very well be caused by improper settings or clipping.

Motors and coils are often designed around each other. The ZCON already has a 8 layer coil. I have a feeling you're still clipping it.

Just don't do it. OEM recone from SSA will give you everything the sub is supposed to be. If you knew how to wind coils and build woofers from parts it would be another story.

I was actually quite surprised when I was listening to a few test songs, the 6.5s have a decent amount of midbass and bass. The doors are sealed very well from the factory. The plan was to put the 8s on the other two channels of the leviathan, with the same crossover settings from the 6.5s. I was going to do the ac10s, but looking at the response the 8s, it can be crossed over much higher. I realize to add more speakers is to add complications like cancellation. But atm I'm testing out a few drivers, and if need be I will only use an 8 or 10 in place of the 6.5 and the morel 378 can be crossed over basically wherever I need it to be with any of those woofers. So far I am impressed with the quality of aurum cantus. The 6.5s on the leviathan at 8ohms don't seem to reach overexcursion even when I turn off the highpass filter completely. If you have a better solution/recomendation, I am open to change. Better solution is to not mix drivers. It will suck. Without more info, I can't help. Umm, no. Faital blows donkey IB. Terrible idea. Stop reading wherever you are getting your ideas from.

The subs and amp rack looks great. I'm confused a little on why you bypassed the factory head unit with an 80prs though. Why wouldn't you use an 8 channel DSP? Your driver choices don't thrill me but the installation looks good. Can't say I'd put a hole in my dash for a single din if I didn't have to but good luck
