Then they were used or new and already bought. These are being built by Sundown and shipped to you.

Says 14+ business days build time. Today's the 15th day. Just gotta be patient, trust me i know it sucks, but it is what it is. I placed an order on the 14th for 6 Zcon 18's. Well said, you will be updated when there is something to update

I was on the forums awhile ago and got some great help designing a box from a member (can't remember who). Just wanted to show what he helped me do. I have 3 SSA DCON 12's in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I just metered on a TermLab and the results were great. I have had this system in for over a year and this is the first time I have had it metered. Thanks again for the help from the build... http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/376572_532111330147364_1694144002_n_zpsfdfeacd5.jpg http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/218079_532113020147195_1480755921_n_zps062b6a97.jpg http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/DSCF1556_zpsc40ae279.jpg http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/DSCF1555_zps13de709b.jpg http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/DSCF1552_zpsae1bfbf1.jpg TermLab results http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/20140403_182653_zps901abed9.jpg From the port http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg506/eddielong1975/20140403_191109_zpse462b10c.jpg

I'm glad the enclosure is working out so well for you!! It's one that I wonder out often because of the love I have for the DCON's! I'll make it easier to see the pics too.

A certain amp is not required to break in a subwoofer, playing it normally over time will help it loosen up the suspension. As far as thinking you need rated power to get your subs moving, that's incorrect as there is no such thing in underpowering a subwoofer. Just save up and get the amp you want now, it will save you more in the long run. Instead of rushing to have a completed system, slow down and do it right the first time. If that is all you want to spend on an amp period the go quality over quantity. Try to find a good brand amp at your budget level instead of more power lesser quality, you may have to buy used.

look around craigslist before you buy anything new. also you dont have to run max rms. you should of just ran the 1200 to them for awhile and broke them in and then got ya a bigger amp

worked from 10am yesterday to 12am today and got it playing. Its extremely loud, but it doesn't play the lows as well as I had hoped. I think once its sealed off a bit more it will get better, plus one of the woofers hasn't been broken in. So far I'm pretty happy with it, but now I need sound deadener for sure.

The amp maybe 1200 @ 1 ohm but it cannot give BOTH subs 1200 watts each. In any given circuit the power is distributed through all loads in the circuit and when the resistance of those loads is the same the power in the circuit will be divided evenly by the number of loads. 1200w / 2 = 600w per driver. No amount of wiring changes can negate this.

Thanks guys, Its getting there I'm hoping with the smaller airspace for the subs I can get a real musical response out of them.

Going to drill holes for the leviathan speaker wires, but otherwise that's how it came out.

Btw for the SSA fans here Ill be putting 2 Zcon 18s in here shortly after the box is finished just as a comparison to the Sp4s. Ill try to make a video of both for reference when that happens.

Finishing the outside shell and bolting it down this weekend. Used 3/4 oak for the inner layers, 3/4 mdf for the outside. The angled pieces going in the edges will be glued and then fiberglassed in. I also got the amp board and battery case plastidipped. I made a rough estimate of the interior dimensions and I have about 22 cubes to work with so far.

I know, whats up with that?? That's as far as Ive gotten, I need to tidy things up as far as wiring underneath the amps, and finish the beauty plate for the deck (gaps). So far I only have the aurum cantus 6.5s in the doors as the door panels will be a whole new project. The morel 378s are in the stock highs location in the dash for now. Need to run all the wires through amp board, and plasti both the battery holder and the amp board. Eventually I plan on getting another pm1. The false floor will hopefully be in the back in the next few weeks, I have really been thinking about doing a ported box for the 18s but I'm still not positive. But for now Ive got some very decent sound going.
