In other news, I proposed to my girlfriend during the ski vacation, so I guess we're really starting 2017 strong.

I beat my zcon right out of the rip. Did this daily for over a year. Single 12 on a bc3500. Had good electrical though. Sold it to my buddy and he fried it on a audio pipe 1500 within a week... OP just make sure your voltage is on point and let it rip. Zcons can take a beating... Frogcase2002 had a pair of 12s that he had to jb weld the basket several times and they still banged.

If I where you, and obviously on a budget, I would amp those subs and build something around those subs, and in the middle of the seat, to keep the seat from touching your subs at max excursion, other wise your gonna end up with torn surrounds, and folded cones, which want be pretty, or sound to nice. Maybe some 1x1 around the sub and in the middle to support the seat, and hopefully not make it to odd looking. Or if no one uses the back much, just leave it up better bass anyways.

that's fine but just your opinion is what it is. The OP can try other simpler things without spending a huge amount on a amp and possibly needing more electrical to support this new amp properly. Just think about it.... you go in thinking just add a bigger amp. Come back to forum stating no real difference or you're not getting the difference in loudness you expected. Then suggestions to monitor voltage and possibly now you need to upgrade alt/batteries when you already didn't have the space/money in the first place. Trying to help with what someone already owns may be the best first option, don't you think? Logically speaking you have a problem and now you're throwing money at it hoping it helps?

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words and condolences. She's in a better place now. I finally found time to take pictures of the drivers. I'm very happy with the build quality of the excels and illuminators. The tweeters are much smaller than I thought they would be which is a good thing. I am very anxious to get these installed along with the other hundreds of parts... Other things have to come first though, fixing the broke down beater truck first priority right now.
