    J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build

Right now I only have the stock alt. But I have CS-130 case 200 amp Powermaster alternator (pn48203) I will adapt to the honda this summer. The CS-130 case Is BIG so we will see. I think at that point I should be good as good gets. FEEL THE POWER!!!

I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need?

Secondary batteries provide more power, because they are not being used to provide power to operate the vehicle. When you hook to batteries up together it optimizes the internal pressure of the battery which in turn allows the batteries to produce more power individually. So if I think of current as water, Then the starting battery in nearest to the vehicles power needs so ALL or MOST current flows from the starting battery? So the sum of the two is greater than its parts alone?

THe F*cking cutout dim. FI gives you is BIG so the hole is little big. I think it will be fine with T-nuts. I got some cool dark gray stone looking textured paint for the port, Should look match the charchol carpet nicely! The fiberglass was pointless and I won't be doing anymore. I was under the wrong impression as to why people use it. Now I know. I am working on the battery box, 1/0 ga ran, spare tire mount fixed and then I can do the box. Time is a premium around here right now. Don't worry I am taking pictures.

Effects on sound from fiberglassing an enclosure?

The conclusion to this topic is Fiberglass will NOT make an audible difference when used in an enclosure. Fiberglass MAY have benefits if you are chasing tenths on the meter But could also hurt you. You will NOT know without testing. All materials have a purpose, But are USELESS when used in the wrong application. If you want to make an enclosure stronger you should use bracing instead. The ONLY use for fiberglass in a regular enclosure would be for the corners, even then the benefit is probly marginal. For the average person like me wondering if Fiberglass is for you, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. (learn from my mistakes) That is ALL. J-Road
  12. The goal of this topic is to discuss the possible effects fiberglassing the inside of a subwoofer enclosure has on the sound? I am currently building my enclosure and am using fiberglass to make the box more ridged, prevent air leaks, prevent flexing, raise the boxes failure point of the box, and I just like building things heavy duty. I honestly never thought about the fiberglass effecting the sound until Pork Chop brought it up last night. I used the search function but did not find anything about effects on sound from fiberglassing an enclosure. I would like to hear some opinions about this from people that have experience with a fiberglassed sub box. I would also like to hear the science about how this effects sound waves even if its not audible. Thanks in advance. J-Road

    mids/highs 2ohm vs 4ohm

but i thought when the impedance is higher, the amp has more control over the cone... resulting in more accurate reproduction?... Not an audible differance, If you are refering to damping.

Ya, forward facing blends So much better. Not louder but sounds better. I shouldn't have to worry about the loud part now though. Most of the time I just use the ski pass, With the last set up The audible differance was small.
