    Help With 18 BTL Box

Ok, well i had no idea about tuning or anything when i made my first box. its 9.5 cubic ft with 90 in of port area, and i ran the port length till about the back of the box. ( pics soon). what i was wondering is can anyone provide me with the actual formula for calculating my port length. ( so i can just plug in hz volume and port area? ive got some calculators but like to see everything out. here is what im trying to accomplish by just cutting the box. 34 hz tuning 7.5 cubic ft 90in squared of port area if i my box in a 01 grand am running from my trunk to my back seat, with the btl right in the back seat and the port under it. if i put the port in the trunk would it make it sound worse?

    Help Wiring 6.5 door Speakers

realized they were monsoon speakers, and had built in tweeters. so guess i have to get some tweeters also. thanks for the replys tho
  8. OK, so im trying to put new 6.5's in my moms car for christmas. and her stock speakers (blown) had 2 sets of wires coming to them, they were 2 negative and 2 positive. to each speaker. and the speakers i bought have only 1 set.(1 positive and 1 negavitve). so how do i hook it up. just put both positive to the 1 on the spaker? or only use 1 set of wires?

ok, gonna be fun fitting this in my grand am. removed the double fold backseat. and plan on put a box running all the way from the trunk to behind the driver seat here are some plans for the box its about 9-10 cubic ft right now. questions? shape dosent matter dose it? do u think ill need some more support? how big should i make the port?
  12. ok, buying my amp wiring kit. how big should my fuse be? ive got a 3000 watt sundown amp. and am going to use an isolator for my kinetik 2400 in the trunk?
  13. I have a simple quick question. If i wire my new kinetik 2400 in parallel to my stock car battery will i be fine with my 3000 watt amp? some people are saying i must get an isolator and others not. and i have no idea if it will damage anything or not. and no i wont be playing music without the car on

then how do i wire it? parallel? thought u had to have one with another battery you dont have to have one... it helps when you have 2 diff batterys connected and you play ur system with ur car off it helps charge each other i think from what i have read. you probably wont play ur system with ur car off since its for a daily driver, most daily drives drive and bump, from what i have seen atleast. you got a nice set up goin for your self man your gonna be pounding like a champ!!! get a volt meter also to help you monitor ur voltage. what kind of Head unit u got? Yea i cant wait, good to know on the isolator. and yea just need a good amp wire kit and a volt meter. i got a alpine cda-9886 headunit. not sure about how much wire ill need. like if i can wire my battery and amp with an amp kit.
