4 years and tons of nicks and dings in the vinyl. It's too hard to re wrap a car by yourself, so I plastidipped it.Dang, I really liked the color of that wrap. Pretty amazing what can be done with plasti-dip now. Kinda makes me wonder if the gloss finish will ever get to a mirror finish like a good clear coat paint job.
This was my first try at it. I've seen shops lay it down a lot smoother.
I'm just a noob.

I keep forgetting about this.I finished it at heatwave, then junked it after the show.
Now it's a whole new rebuild.
6 Ethos 12s
3 Twisted 8.5ks
4 73ah JYP lithium
2 singer 370A
New wheels and color shift plastidip

both builds? One was audio, one was putting the car back together.Ok so i read every single page of the last build log. How come you never put those black vette rims on? I also liked how you wrapped the whole car in vinyl. Im pretty excited to see how the tridents rack up against the zcons. I'm very partial to ssa but dss is very very close. I'm going to follow this build for sure.
I still have them. I need to buy tires for them. I never drive the car, so it wasn't priority, then I started the s10 build and the car got set a side.

I think I need to stick with a center port. The sides of the enclosure follow the lines of the car. Making a side port would result in a crazy shaped port.

Either 4-15s or 6-12s.
Nice. I'm not familiar with your camaro. What year/body style is it?
'00 SS.
search it above. There was a couple build logs on it. One of which is still the biggest build log on this forum.

Sounds like fun, I wanna help. Any Ethos left? ( I know I may be late on this but don't hurt to ask)
I still have 1-15. Has a new top assembly. Never blown. Quentin sent me a replacement so I could dissect one. Countless 5kw+ burps and still looked great.

Decided to gut the truck after heatwave and build the camaro up again.

Basically. Seized up motor and a trans that won't engage. Fun times. Just about got it all back together.
initial test in garage, obviously not on alternator power. 164.6 @ 68hz.

No prep really. It's self leveling. Just pour it and spread it around.I'm curious about the gelcoat too, what kind of prep work do you need to do? Also I assume it's sprayed correct?

I don't know what you used, but it's not like this. This has chemical smell at all.
I mean it'll never leave the truck lol. I used some stuff similar to that it doesnt smell bad but the smell def doesnt go away for a very long time. My mustangs interior still reaked of it after i pulled everything out months later.
Don't assume all resin stinks. This actually smells like licorice.
It'll never go away. When you layed this resin down how strong was the fumes...
working with it in my garage at night. Door closed to keep bugs out. Totally clear by morning. No smell in the house.
fiberglass resin from like home depot.... Has a terrible smell. My camaro was the same way.
this is epoxy gel coat. Has no smell like what your thinking.
