I can't tell what kind of vehicle you have ... i'm assuming you have enough room for 2 15s in a recommended size enclosure ... most 12s sound better (musically) than 15s when tuned to 32 - 38 htz ... just a suggestion here ... you might try 4 12s tuned to 32 htz ... should make the cabin freq. somewhere around 40 htz ... still hit the low notes ... more cone area to create more pressure ... series / paralell (i can't spell) should be close to the same power handeling capabillities ... here again just a suggestion to hit the low notes with considerable ammount more pressure ... I'm mainly sound quality but I have been known to put up a few big numbers back in the day ... if you look on page 2 of my cardomain site, my friend TJ has a quarter wave wall style enclosure ... tuned for pressure ... 54 htz i think ... actually plays some very decent low notes ... check it out ... again please, just a suggestion sir ... thanks

ok ... things looking better ... still having trouble uploading pics ... please check out my truck on my cardomain site ... thanks ...

sorry for the confusion guys ... won't happen again ... please check out my cardomain site and let me know what you think of my truck ... i'm having trouble uploading pics ...

I don't understand this forum guys ... the registration stuff plainly says No Bashing people and have pissing matches over product ... Thats all i've gotten since i've been here ... As with most people ... I don't have much money but Sound Quality and Sport trucks is my favorite sports and im very proud of my accomplishments so far ... The products in my truck has made me a Champion and when I brag a little, I get bashed ... Just ain't fun for me ... sorry guys ... Maybe it will get better ... Anyway, I enjoy competing and i think this will be a good year for me ... but i have alot of work left to do to my truck ... never ending project you know ... guess i won't be giving any more suggetions on this forum ... I mean, what do I know, I'm a Sound Quality Regional Champion and a World Finalist just in my first year of competing ... Hopefully this year I'll prove to my self to be a 2010 world Champion in Sound Quality ... we will see ...
-
What ever guys ... who cares ... I'll be competing this year ... Usaci Sound Quality, modified SQ+ class, Sound Q, and Street Beat 2 ... hope to see you in the lanes ... if you are competing in higher classes than me, then you already know your system is better than mine ... if you dont compete against me, then we will never know, will we ?? see you in the lanes ... put up or shut up !!

this thread was talkin about midbass drivers in the doors or kick pannels ... not spl subs ... I don't compete in SPL ... you wouldn't put a "sub" sytle driver in the door or kick pannel because of too much vibration and too much bass instead of a blend of music ... you just want to be "loud", do what you want ... You want pure Sound Quality ... then let's talk ...
-
for the record ... I'm talkin Sound Qualty midbass drivers only people ... I do not do SPL ... I placed top 5 in Sound Quality World Finals ... not SPL people ...

how do you post pics on this site ??

I'm the guinipig for both sir ... and running ALOT of power ... My new 6.5" drivers have the same if not better lms specs than most 8"s on the market ...
-
Blues Car Audio tweets in the A pillars ... crossed at 3000 htz Blues Car Audio 6.5 " drivers in the kick pannels ... no crossover / fullrange Blues Car Audio Isoberic 10" transducers (pair) in a blow thru enclosure ... crossed at 70 htz All set up strictly for Sound Quality competition ...
-
I play Erich Kunzel pipe organ notes (20 - 28 htz) loud and proud ... while playing great midrange frequencies ... I just don't have a need for 8 s ...
-
for me to be louder ... i'd lose sound quality ... my box is tuned to 20 - 24 htz ... which makes me have a cabin frequency of 28 - 32 htz ... with a pair of 10s I can still hit 135 - 137 db at 26 - 32 htz ... basically tuning your enclosure is very important ... please choose carefully sir ... I don't know how to post pics yet so I can't show you my enclosure ...
-
my 6.5" drivers with a very powerful amp does just as good as any 8" out there ... I run mine full range with no crossover ... mine are in the kick pannels (they staged better in the kicks instead of the doors) ... just a suggestion sir ...
-
yea ... I like seeing old school stuff back on the road ... powerful, clean sound ...
-
some changes maybe ... most things best kept the same ... my 20 year old stuff works better now than they did when new ...
-
ok ... Robert Rayfield / Tips is the owner ... I'm considered the guinipig ... yea I hope it gets out there good ... He deserves it ...
-
Yea, thats sort of the plan ... How did you guess that sir ??
-
wut up dude ... you gonna beat me with that truck ?? ... lol just kidding ... nice work there sir ...
