Got some XCON & DD M2b action for You!! Beating Down the Mirror too XD

I went with direct leads because the push terminals broke off & it was dangling! So I took both off. This XCon is the first generation, it is just under 5 years old. It was reconed before about 2 years ago, and just started using it. it was a bad recone job lucky I ordered 2 recone kits, Dustcap came lose first day out & it was flapping. spider came completely off later. I wanted the job done right, So I did it myself. I think I did it right. I'm proud to say I am no longer a Recone Virgin.

Hey guys, the recone kits came in. He was wondering what Epoxy adhesive to use, He wants to put the same type back on there. He don't have one that drys rock hard like the one that was on my SSA Subwoofer. Before he does the recone, he wants the right stuff holding it in so it don't fly out at me I guess, lol. So if anyone knows the glue that SSA uses, it will be much appreciated. I have no clue if there is only one kind of epoxy glue or different types, I'm assuming there is different strengths? Thanks

No problem, It's all good. I was wondering if the kits came with the glue? the guy doing the recone said it is a more harder glue on my Sub then what he uses on the other subwoofers.

Looks good, where did you get the Xcon sketch-up image?
Made it myself awhile back, Just to see if it will fit the enclosures I was making. It is a perfect copy of the Xcon 1G to see if there is good clearance for mounting depth & to see how the finished product will look.

I was just wondering if 4 of these batteries will be good for a car audio system. 2,000 watts RMS? This is the only best battery that I can fine in my own town. I can't get XS Power or anything like that. They do sell Kinetik at this one place but they are marked up 50% higher then SonicElectronix & I don't want to mail order any car batteries. There Shuriken batteries at another store too. there marked up high like the Kinetik. I like to buy them in store, If anything gose wrong with them. I can just drive to the store & return it. These Nautilus AGM Deep Cycle batteries are in stock ready to buy.

Sorry if I don't quite see what you are trying to build. But is that a port at the top of the box going out of the back? But then the full picture it appears to me to be sealed..?
So, maybe i should center the port, Huh? I wanted a tune of 18Hz that's why it is thin.

im thinking the port might be down the middle between the 2? im confused on the design aswell
Yes port is on the top, It was at the bottom but wheels are going there so i flipped it. Port is really wide and only a inch high.

Now if I'm going to use L7's I'll need 2 IPR 6000 running at (4-Ohm@2,000w RMS x2)

(2x) Quad L5 Kickers in a 24cu.ft @ 18Hz, For Stage use. Could use L7 or Solo X! Oh yeah, No SoloX in 15" size. But for the L5 with 3,000w@2-ohm x2 with Peavey IPR 6000. Talking weight here so will be rolling Quad Subs. Let me know whats on your mind good or bad.

Wow, be careful as to not push to too hard free air.
Sure, It was late so i removed it from enclosure. I was thinking of making a Bandpass box for it. That can be a Sealed box when Ported side is removed. Not too sure what is the best way to keep them together.

Did you make those breakdown pics or find them on the website somewhere? If you made them, good job, they look great.
Nope I didn't fined them, I Made it using Google SketchUp 7. I'm going to remake the hole thing, I forgotten a few things.

I have the 12" SSA Xcon D1, What is the Displacement of this sub? I would guess it's 0.18 or 0.19cuft?
