    Looking for a BTL maker.

ARgent audio. They have a section dedicated to them on on the forum index. Send him a PM about your plans.
  2. Looks really good so far! Btw, i have an 07 Elantra and i did a run of 1/0 through the firewall and underneath the trim I was a struggle, but it works! The roof rattles so much, i mean the liner of it slaps against the roof and makes an awful rattle on certain frequencies (about 35-43 hz). I have 2 layers of vibration dampener on my rear deck. It helps, but not enough. I am liking that idea that j-roadtatts has... BUT, i have a rear firing 12" BTL, and i think a sealed off box would sound great. The reason i have mine rear firing is because it has a flatter response, but i do get those damn trunk and rear deck rattles

Wow, nice friend you are. I usually try to actually help my friends, not rip them off.

    SAKR 12'S

Well he didn't specify what his goal was before i posted. You can make ported boxes that are better suited for different goals. For example, if his goal was a flat response i would recommend tuning lower than what he specified. But since he is going for numbers on music, tuning slightly higher is ok.
  7. Lol, biggest POS you could ever put in a vehicle.

    SAKR 12'S

Yes, it will work. How well it will work depends on how well it performs to YOUR goals.

    SAKR 12'S

    I assume two 12's?
  10. Might as well do a bunch of 18's or 21's in a 4th order...
  11. thor02

    4-21's or 10-12's

The ten 15's will be louder provided you have room for the proper enclosure ( i assume you're going for loudness)

fi bl 12 on hifonics hfi1500d

Keep the loudness feature off, set gain with DMM and keep the bass boost at 0 if you can. I had a hifonics and for some reason i had to use a little bass boost to get full output. I doubt you will get even 1300 watts out of that amp, but still plenty to push the BL in that large of an enclosure. Invest in a voltmeter to keep an eye on your voltage at full tilt to see if you will need any electrical upgrades, but you should really look into doing the Big 3 That box is a bit large, but as long as your subsonic filter is set correctly you shouldn't have any problems. Maybe look into getting the 4" coil option on the BL for more power handling.

    Help Choosing

Do you have the room for amp, batts, and the proper box in your trunk? If so, i would flip a coin. It's almost just personal preference. Maybe look into an IA warden or AA SMD if money isn't a concern, or even an lms ultra 5400, lol...

    Welcome to the IHoP

Yes they are shitty. Can't do much besides climb a couple hills and ride some trails with those damn 4 bangers. Too heavy for me. I like to whip it around and have fun, pretty much being able to manipulate the sled to do what i want, when i want is what i prefer.

    Btl 12 help

Lol, btl probably shouldn't be an option if you don't have the budget for a big amp, extra batts, alt. But if you're set on it, an AQ 2200 or Audiopipe 3000 are decent budget amps. Get the biggest battery you can fit under the hood and a group 31 in the back. A decent battery at a great price are the Deka Intimidators. Depends on your stock alt, but you will probably need a HO alt for 2k+. An alt is something not to go cheap on. Contact DC power to get a quote on one of their alts and tell them how much power you'll be running. Remember to plan for 1/0 gauge copper wire. The most budget friendly 100% copper wire is welding cable found here Do the big 3 in 1/0 gauge also. Plan for more money on fuse holders, fuses, ring terminals, crimper/solder and torch, cable cutters, etc.

    sub/amp combo help

I'd say 2 BL's powered by an AQ 2200, provided you have the electrical to back it up. If you're looking to go a little cheaper look at the SA-15's from Sundown and an AQ 1200. With this amp you could keep stock electrical, but as always the big 3 is recommended.
  22. Damn that's a good lookin' truck in the snow. Very sexy.
