  1. After reading alllllllllll 20 pages, what a read might I say. This thread made me laugh alot, have my jaw dropped alot, and make me sad alot, lol.

I know I don't talk much on this forum (more of a reader, and my knowledge base is not as wide as some of yous on here lol but I am learning!) but this thread is def one of my favorites for the sole reason that my dad and myself never got along, for very dumb reasons. After we actually finally settled our likes (I know it sounds weird but we were so much alike we'd clash alot) little over 3 years ago, he took a buy out from fords and left his job there and finally when we started getting along he got diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease shortly after leaving his job at fords. Now he can't talk, walk, not even feed himself, pretty much bed ridden unless he's in his electric wheel chair, sucks not being able to do anything really with him. I would've loved doing something like this with him.

Props to you sefugi, seriously, not every dad has this privilege and vise versa with your son.

  2. So I spoke with Don and we decided to go with 25 CLD tiles and 14 sq ft of 1/8 inch closed cell foam. ( I still have a half roll of eDead I will use too)I really hope this helps the overal noise and the rear deck noise because its sounding like sh!t right now and I dont even want to turn the bass up hah.

I had the same problem you did with my Ford 500, My XCON's broke my trunk latch a few times, and made me lose my license plate once. Trunk sounded like shit on the outside of the car, and on the inside lol.

Damn that sucks,if I have problems like that I will just sell everything an cut my losses :(

No no no no lol, it wasn't that bad. The bolts probably weren't tightened enough, cause I haven't had a problem with it in forever. The trunk latch was mainly my fault, cause my trunk has no deadener at all, so when you have subs pointing straight at the trunk so basically over time, things happen lol. You should be fine since your putting deadener on yours. I never did cause I couldn't afford it, but it's on my list before I put my subs back in the trunk, so I don't have that problem.

  4. Dude, you know how many times this has been said or talked about? It gets tiring to tell people about ohm loads and how much a certain sub can take. Forums are for when you cannot find your answer by yourself or don't even know what to search for. But you do know the forum has a search feature too right?

Yes, I knew this. I know what you mean, most of the questions I ask is because I need reassurance to be certain lol. So my bad man.

  5. Only difference would be the amp would put out more at 1ohms then 2ohms your ear wont ear any SQ difference only loudness of pure BASS!

    That's dependent on the amplifier.

..Ok lets get more specific "MAJORITY" of amps put out more at lower ohms.

Lol, okay question is do SAZ-1500D's put out more at lower ohms? And can 12" XCON's D2's handle the output?

If you'd do a little research, you could answer all your own questions, and probably feel better about doing it.

Here is a little something to get you started:

    Sundown Audio - SAZ-1500D

Sound Solutions Audio - XCON Series Subwoofers

I understand what your saying, and I respect that, but isn't that what a forum is for to ask questions and receive answers? Yes you did give me and answer of your choice but still, either way rather I find it out myself or you or someone else tell me I end at the same spot, with the same knowledge.

Edit: Reguardless you led me to my answer to my question, and I thank you for that sir. Nothing wrong with showing me the door, and not opening it for me lol.

  7. Series the subs so they are 4ohms each then parallel them to 2 ohms. Parallel/Parallel you would be at .5ohms which IMO is unnecessary for daily driven vehicles. If your competing and know how to tell when your equipment is reaching its limits then you could do .5ohms.

This would explain a great deal for me lol. Thank you again sir.

  8. So let's say I have a D1 ohm sub wired to 2 ohms on an amplifier that delivers 1000 watts at 2 ohms, then I switch it out for a D2 ohm sub and wire it to 1 ohm and put it on an amp that does 1000 watts at 1 ohm, do you think there would be any difference?

Well, by reading what you said I am guessing since they have the same amount of wattage being distributed to the subwoofer, I would say no there shouldn't be any difference.
