Dual one ohm can be wired into .5 ohm or 2 ohm. Dual two ohm can be wired into 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

Nevermind, I found a couple of pictures. It looks like they are mounting in their own enclosures. Here is some motivation, these guys do great work: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/build-logs-project-install-gallery/256625-departure-our-norm-2016-wrangler-install-af-arc-mosconi-illusion.html

Ah, okay. Can you describe and/or take pictures of what the dash enclosures look like when the mids in the dash are removed?

Are fabricating kick pods an option?

If you ever decided to sell the Mikro IV, let me know. Do those tweeter pods come apart? God is that mid/woofer location terrible.

Try and paste the direct link here. It should work just fine.

I want one as well, maybe he would split them?

Awesome price on those NVX

This looks fun. I have always hated where the mid was located in this generation F-150. Your tweeter location looks good, not surprised they sound good from that location. What is the subwoofer plans for this truck?

You are referring to the MK5 body style. I did not know it had a design name. Mercedes did the same thing with the mid-bass towards the back of the front doors in the late 80s early 90s. Is there something specific you wanted to know about this layout?

They are very close, the angle of my pictures throws off the aspect of each picture. The drivers side is slightly lower because I wanted to maintain the factory hood release.

Thanks, my deadener just came in. CLD tiles, CCF, and MLV will be added to the trunk before I start trimming it out with enclosure and amplifier rack.

IB, they have holes on the bottom of them that help them vent into the floor. This car has a bunch of space under the removable carpet.

There are a few local people from the forum near you. I live on the westside of the state. Don't be afraid to ask plenty of questions and lean on others while building/designing. If you want my cell number, send me a private message.

I should have went further with my deadening plans, it will for sure get ccf and mlv over the sludge. I was thinking sludge because it can create a nice look in the wheel well while control panel resonance and vibration. CLD tiles is obviously the other option, still may go that route. Undecided at the moment.

That is painted metal, its the spare tire/trunk floor. Most of it just scraped off. I will be using some acetone based solution to remove the rest of it. Either way this is going to be covered. I am thinking about using the Second Skin Sludge to deaden this area and then I will be building a spare tire enclosure for the DCON or GCON.

Spray foam for mounting and bondo for sealing around holes.

More progress: Amazing weeked here in Michigan. High 50s to low 60s all week. Tearing some of the interior out demoing previous owners lovely work: Old Alpine MRV under the rear seat Spray foam and cheap wooden boards screwed down into the trunk floor. Lovely. Bondo to fill holes?

Mini/small/micro amps
S.DeYoung replied to Tirefryr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I've used the micro NVX amplifiers and have no issues with them. I've also used the focal fd series with good results. Here's the focal compared to the US Acoustics Barbara Ann -
Going to be close with the appropriate amount of port and woofer displacement. Please post some pictures with the trunk panels removed so we can get a better idea of total space. Either way this shall be interesting, good luck.
