  1. I would pull the trigger on the GCON, I would probably recommend the ICON if it was available in 10" right now but it isn't. You will really enjoy the GCON with the goals you listed. Are you building the enclosure or having it made?

So.... whenever I have ordered these they have delivered as the wrong brakes.  When you click on info it doesn't fit the same for the X-drive.

I'm struggling to find any set for <$800. Crazy shit.

I have ordered from rock auto for my 335xi and they have been the correct ones so I don’t know why they can’t get your car correct. ECS tuning has a sale going on right now.

I was trying to look, but public education never lists shit.  Are immersion programs available?  My kids are 8 & 10 and read/write like a 4th grader in Spanish.  Not quite in English, but that will come.  I can't give that up.

I am going to ask a few of my friends that live in that area and I will get back to you. I know there are a some great school districts over there, Walled Lake comes to mind.

Hmm, job I turned down changed things up on me.  Would have a location near Wixom MI I could reside near..  I have always been a fan of Union Lake and could trade my house for a 5000 sq ft beast with tons of lake front.  I've never thought of myself as a MI'er though.

    :hay:

  5. Another non audio related note, the early 380s had a single row timing chain that was very problematic. They did not last long before they needed to be service or even worse, breaking. This car was converted to a dual row timing chain by a Mercedes Benz dealership when it was a couple of years old. The dual row is a much better design and can go much longer between service intervals.

  6. I recently purchased a MB SL380 for my wife for her birthday just recently. The previous owner "upgraded" the stock radio but putting in a basic cd player about 10 years ago and decided not to replace the 4" speakers in the dash but rather install some 6X9 in the space behind the rear seats. The plan is to install a new retro sound headunit with bluetooth capabilities, replace the 4" speakers with some upgraded stock replacements, and install a SSA four channel amplifier to power the speakers. In the near future I would like to install a small subwoofer in the trunk for some lows, the 4" speakers are going to provide anything below 100hz.

Pictures posted below in the next post, here is a link to the new headunit:
