To answer your question. If that box you were talking about is pre fab and not custom built it wont necessarily mess up your subs but they will sound like crap. For now if you go with the ssds just get a simple sealed box built for the subs until you can get the money to buy a nice quality custom built enclosure. Don't cut corners. If you cant afford the whole setup without making it quality then take a step down.

If the manufacturer sent you enclosure dimensions then they are most likely the most optimal dimensions for your type of setup. Im sure he would send you a piece of crap lol.

unhook your bass boost. and do like everyone sais. dont use any bass enhancers on the h/u or the knob. and turn your gain down a little until you get to a shop so they can check it out with an o-scope and have them accuratly set your gains.

idk about the box but your gonna need to beef up your electrical if your going with the aq 3500. 2 optimas and a big 3 will probably still result in dimming and voltage drops. Contact iraggi or dc power. I also heard mechman makes a nice alternator as well

Punctuation is key, I would just buy another aq1200 and strap them, just make sure you buy the D1 so you can wire to two ohms. In your manual it should show you how to strap them, if they're strap-able. Be aware, if one amp fails.. it WILL cause the other amp to fail as well. That could be a very expensive break. good point. didnt think about that. but think about it. if he bought an aq2200d it has the same chance as one 1200d failing right? Since he already has one 1200d just get one more. BTL d1 wire to 2 ohm.

you have 2 options. buy the aq2200d and a BTL d2 and wire the sub to a 1 ohm load. OR buy the other aq1200d strap the other one and its now stable at 2ohms so then buy a BTL d1 and wire it to a 2 ohm load. either way but make sure you buy the right one (d1 or d2) This is for the aq2200 This is for the 2 aq1200ds Use these for wiring help.

Bl is an entry level SPL woofer it wont sound as dynamic as the Q would do for you. A fully loaded Q (Cooling, Spider, High QTS only if sealed) it will hit pretty hard. BL even with daily option won't be as dynamic in music as the Q would. SSD Is nice too.

2003 Eclipse GS and for max space all i know for now is it has 17^3 so i believe thats plenty right? i want good sound quality and i want it to be loud too. SQ>SPL though. need anything else?
