  1. Im not paying $400+ for a local guy to build me a custom box for my silverado. Looking for a ported box under the rear seat. Not sure if I have the airspace for 2 10's or just a single 12.

Thanks Sundown for having NO customer support

They are also business owners, who I'm sure want to make money with their business ... no one is saying they aren't trying a little bit, but IMO and assuming all the OP's comments are true, Sundown could be doing more ...

Thanks Sundown for having NO customer support

I've never had any dealings with Sundown, but I have been in the situation before. After something like this happens, and its a huge, time consuming deal, that company has forever lost my business. Of course, im sure they will eventually make it right, but it sounds like they could do maybe a bit more to at least start making it right.
  5. I didn't think so at all. I was disappointed with DD & ARC components, I really expected more from both. I still think MB Quarts are the best bang for the buck components out there.. to my ear anyways.
  6. I did listen to the Focals. It was a toss up between the Focals and Hybrid Audio. Was basically a coin flip. I just thought the Focal's looked cooler so I went with them.
  7. Decided on Focal 165KR2 6.5" compononents .. thinking about the Zapco ST-4x to power them. Any thoughts?
  8. Yeah I don't have the projects to justify that kinda money for one
  9. Have you actually figured it out with all measurement and everything or is that what someone said they can do for you? Actually using a CAD program with some measurements from the truck. Program is crazy complicated, I couldn't run it. Think it's going to work out really well. Measurements are harder than making the CAD Helps we own a 3D laser scanner... 3D laser scanner is a good idea .. all the gruntwork is done already.
  10. no. 2.5 before subs. .75" MDF

  12. I've found some help ... and I will get 2.5 cu. ft after port displacement with a 2" seat lift..

Already got a spot down there.
  14. Guess I've decided on DC Level 2 10's for subs ... Most likely the amp will be a Sundown 1000D.

Awesome. What part are you from? I'm in south provo. Ya I'm originally from Albuquerque New Mexico and sound is much more popular down there in my opinion. Im in Orem, I would LOVE to hear some Soundquebed gear ! Welcome!
  16. I have messaged Duran, no luck at all. Anyone else in the Salt Lake City, Utah area ?
  17. I e-mailed Sundown and asked for the recommended port area for 2 SD-8's in a box tuned to around 38hz. Anyone have a suggestion ?
  18. So i've been searching a few different places, but I don't THINK im finding the answer I need ... The question is this(I've been pondering about it for a while) ... If you have a mono channel amplifer, and have 2 DVC subwoofers(wired how you need) .. how much does the amplifier send to each woofer? how do you go about figuring this out? If you have 2 subwoofers rated for 500RMS and a MONO Amplifier for 1000 watts RMS, how do you know each sub is getting 500 watts ? How does the amplifier split up the power(I guess)?

Breast Cancer Awareness box for 2 10's

    Very nicely done !
  20. I was thinking about this, but 1.4 total is not big enough for what I'm wanting in a ported box. I've heard of people getting almost 2.5 cu. ft under the seat.
