  1. No one likes designing/building boxes ?
  2. no more than $1000 for box, subs, and amp
  3. think I'll throw Alpine type S's in the mix as a possibility also ...
  4. Subwoofers in question, number of subwoofers & subwoofer size - Open to suggestions (Most likely 2 10"s) Amplifier being used, specifically the model number - Open to suggestions Fabrication skill level - None Preferred material to be used (i.e. MDF, fibreglass, etc) - MDF Vehicle which the subwoofers will be used in - AGAIN 2012 Silverado Ext. Cab Other products you have heard, but have not owned that you enjoyed & their install particulars. - Incriminator Audio, Digital Designs Musical preferences - AGAIN everything but screamo System goals - Loud(135dBish), Hidden, Quality Sound Previous subwoofers you have used, and their installation particulars - Kicker (Ford Ranger Ext. cab, 2 8" Orion's in Camaro) List any research you have previously done - Narrowed down subwoofer choices to DCONS, Sundown SD-2, DD 1500, but am always open to suggestions
  5. Your goals are very subjective. Sounding good to you might sound like shit to me. And being loud enough to feel, mostly anytime bass is playing you're feeling it so it's hard to distinguish how loud you want. Loud to me is wayyyyyy louder than what my mom thinks is loud lol loud to me.. would be about a 135ish on a current Termlab
  6. Width 55-3/4" x Front Height 8-3/4" x Rear Height 5" x Depth 14-3/4" ^^ dimensions off of an ebay box for my truck
  7. I posted dimensions... about 90% sure i want a ported enclosure... looking for opinions on subs and amp.(I REALLY like the DCON subs) this will be a daily setup, but I want to be able to feel it when I turn it up .. I listen to everything besides screamo music .. Only goals are to sound good, be loud enough to feel, and be hidden also not going to upgrade my electrical system
  8. I DO NOT give my money or business to people who make posts like he has. What have I done wrong? I gave you a box design but obviously it's not gonna work since we didn't have dimensions. Then I ask you to please drop you're attitude and come back with dimensions and then we can help you. Honestly what about my posts made you not wanna deal with me? The fact that you mentioned to someone who is fairly new to car audio to not even start a thread without dimensions. How is ANYONE supposed to learn anything without starting threads, asking questions, etc. ?

  11. alot easier to scroll your mouse up and read, than for me to spend 30 minutes driving to get you specs that you probablly wont be able to use to help me anyways ..We need measurements to design something. Since there's no measurements use this for a box. 38" wide 10" tall 15" deep. Use a 6" aero port that is 18" long. Again, this is going under the rear seat, thanks for trying to help though. Im sure it's a FANTASTIC design. Well how do I know that won't fit? Without dimensions you shouldn't have even started this thread. There is no possible way we can help right now. Please drop the attitude and come back with max dimensions and we will definitely be able to help you. I have an attitude because people wanna start name calling and being douchebags to someone over the internet. I would like to get into car audio more seriously, but if it is full of morons and people unwilling to help without flaming someone they do not know, I have no interest.

  13. Although to alot of people in this thread, it may seem like I have not done research. Quite the contrary, as I was going to have Dustin @ DC design/build me a box last year, but got sent to Alaska and would not be able to enjoy it.
  14. There probably isn't one. As far as I know I'm the only active utah member. I could post some names of members on here that are good with this kind of thing, but you will have to go get some measurements first. I appreciate it, I will be using the truck tomorrow. Do you buy your equipment locally? What shops are reputable? I checked out Innovative Audio in Sandy, wasnt too terribly impressed.
  15. and I have YET to hear about a decent box builder in Utah ...

  17. Does noone read anymore ? Lol I said its a 2012 extended cab (not 4 complete doors) silverado.
  18. Completely underneath the back seat. I dont have dimensions because the truck is kept in a storage unit about 20 miles from my place. Next time 'm over there I can get some. Surely someone knows somebody that has done this and can get specs.
  19. I mentioned i wanted a ported box in the original post ... im probablly going to be looking at the DCON's .. pair of 10's .. probablly 750-1000 watts. just want it to sound good, but want to be able to feel it
  20. lol ALOT of mormons, they dont have alot of liquor stores, but there are enough ... I think a car audio event would go over quite well here .. lots of people with lots of money
  21. I moved to Utah with my job, and I have quite a bit of free time now, and I would like to get into competing locally. There are quite a few audio stores around Salt Lake City, but I think they all sell the mainstream products. Does anyone know of anything going on in Utah? I need something fun to do and get to know some people at the same time!
