Thanks! I list for what I would pay for second hand equipment.
-
It's called the Carbonaro Effect
-
It has built-in Bluetooth to power it, I do not need an amp, runs off my smartphone.

Should I.....

You shouldn't be worried about wattage. You constraint is current draw. Your 150 amp output alternator minus your vehicle's consumption will leave you with 70-90 amps on average. Based on that you should look for total amperage draw of 60-80 amps for your entire system on average. If you build a fourth order, to SSA specs, for your XCON, and power it with a Sundown 1500 or similar amp at 2 ohms you'll be happy. My recommendation also considers you using a NVX 800.4 for your front stage. I also recommend you use 1/0 from your battery negative and positive to your distribution blocks in your trunk. You are not maximizing the current capacity of the wire but you will be minimizing resistance

There are certainly cheaper amps available of similar quality. I'd recommend Sundown for a no hassle, quality, 1500wrms amp. Or buy the Rockford Someday I will also try Incriminator Audio amps. I think they have a unique design and appear to be of high quality. I was actually going to buy Incriminator Audio amps. Obviously, right now, I decided to go with RF.

I have been wanting to try these amps. You are right they are much bigger!

I decided that I want to try an optical connection from h/u to processor. I've heard fantastic things about as well as no difference versus rca. I'll be installing this this weekend. Damn optical cable was $125, wtf.

Both amps are sold! Thanks guys!

BTW two Fi Audio 15IB3 on 1k sound really good in these cars.

There was a novice write-up regarding the mid bass location on these cars in DIYMA. Evidently stage width is phenomenal, stock. Also the midrange and teeter locations are equally as good. I've heard a setup in one of these cars using stock hu, stock speakers and aftermarket amp with dsp. It was very impressive.

PM'd, and 1 sold!

I'll split the amps, no problem. $125/ea

As you know there are a lot of variables in an installation and equipment choice is not the most significant factor.

I had to replace my radiator. I accidentally put a hole in it After I was done I cleaned the engine. Clean engine Sunday!

I swapped out the NVX amps for Rockford Fosgate Power T600.4 and T600.2. The noise floor is much lower, imaging is improved and dynamics are amazing. I know the NVX amps are rated for more power but the Fosgates are much louder. I am extremely pleased with these amps.

I had a similar issue with my aftermarket alternator. Your belt squeal is caused from the smaller diameter aftermarket alternator pulley. The only way I was able to overcome this was with a 0.3" smaller OD diameter belt along with a better belt. The belt that I used was a Goodyear Gatorback. Another option is to use an idler pulley on the bottom bolt on your alternator mount. This will drastically increase belt wrap around the alternator pulley. I did this on a previous vehicle I had. Not a good pic of belt wrap but the difference was significant. I you use a larger pulley you might as well put your stock alternator back on.

I spent about 1 hour listening to the TM65 mkII. caveat : I just modified my door panels so the speakers are not restricted through the factory grill. Prior to this modification I had annoying door rattles that I could not tame. Midbass drivers I used in my vehicle prior to these (same amp, same dsp): - TM65 mkI - GR M165X - Image Dynamics X65 DSP setting : high pass 63hz @ 12db, low pass 320hz at 12db (passenger 180 phase) I first noticed that there are no noticeable resonances (thanks to door panel mod). Second, these drivers are extremely flat with no audible peaks. Even that annoying 200hz peak is nonexistent. Third observation is that I need to adjust my amp gain and give these drivers more power! I also took the Ohio Gen alt off my car...again. I put the Ohio Gen pulley back on it and install a Goodyear Gatorback belt that was 0.3" smaller than the stock belt. NO SQUEALING!!!!!!! Here is a comparison of the belts, stock v-groove on the left.

I installed the TM65 mkII midbass drivers

Thanks, my buddy does great work!

My door panels are completed. I am excited to get them back!

I had major belt slip with the Ohio Generator alternator. The diameter of the pulley was smaller than stock. I swapped the stock pulley onto the Ohio Generator alternator and all is good for now. I also bought a smaller belt. Once I get that I'll put the original Ohio Generator alternator pulley on with the smaller belt.

I agree!
