  1. Even I'll buy from Monster if the price is right. But, seriously, Noel Lee needs to screw off.

    Sound Bar vs. Bose 3-2-1

Considering the thread hasn't been touched in nearly 6 months that troll is you. :[

    Warranty

http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/warranty.html In that case, I had to ask for a copy of my invoice from SSA. Still good?

    HEY

    Yo
  5. You're right, it was pretty much a general inquiry since I'm probably not going to bother with it until a buy my car or go for another car. I've got a SAX-50.4 sitting around and the plan was to replace the door speakers in the car, but since I am the only occupant 95% of the time, I thought it'd be better to have some speakers in the dash as there are pre-cut holes for the shitty Bose upgrade if I wanted to spend an extra 2 grand. But then I consider the times I have people in the car ... and want to provide some speakers in the back. As far as impedance goes ... 4 ohms bridged, 2 ohms stereo ... I bought the amp a year ago. It has been sitting in its box because I could never decide on speakers for my narrow doors. In all actuality, I'm probably going to sell the amp, but I wanted to know if it was EVER a good idea to run six off of four. I'm sorry I can't really give any more details.

    Warranty

Is it still 2 years? Is it transferable? Is this a question for Sundown's customer service dept.? : P
  7. For the sake of knowing, can I run four mids and two tweets off of a four channel amp, or is that just a retarded question to ask? Flaming appreciated. If you had a four channel and could not do that, would you replace the four door speakers, or would you replace the front door speakers and add some tweeters to your dash?

    My first properly done box

Way to bring my browser to a crawl!
  9. Anyone here ever pair an old Xtant 121m with a DCON? I've got this setup, and I know I can go much louder if I like, but then the bass overtakes everything else. Then again, my door speakers are whatever crap Nissan puts in their stock Rogues, and are probably not strong enough to properly pair with the sub. It just feels like my old MTX 4500 and the MTX monoblock hit harder. Not more accurately, just harder. Perhaps it is also the car's fault. I drove a 2003 RAV4 (much smaller than current RAV4s), and now I drive a Rogue, which is bigger than my RAV. The box is the same ... perhaps SLIGHTLY too big for the optimal volume required, but not by much. I like to ramble. And I know perfectly well that my DCON would rip the MTX to pieces if I wanted it to, but the sound would be so unbalanced. The plan originally was to buy new door speakers, but according to crutchfield, the volume of my front door limits the speakers I can use by a LOT. I never could decide what I wanted, and my Sundown SAX 50.4 is sitting brand new in its box for a year now. AGGH! Oh yeah, Xtant 121m. It's pretty
  10. And I know I could eliminate the problem by using the AUX input, but I like that my iPod gets charged and I can just flick the switch to skip through songs without taking my eyes off the road (iPod Touch ... ). Plus, I assume that the head unit gets a better signal through USB, but that might just be conventional wisdom/false. I haven't done my homework regarding that.
  11. It only skips forward on the iPod. The CD skips/ticks on occasion as well. It seems when I haven't used it for awhile, it skips less/not at all, but if I've forgotten my iPod and play the CD a lot, it skips ... and not enough to really ruin any songs, but still. And no, I did not realize that a CD on a spindle had anything to scratch itself on.
  12. Hey guys, I've got a Pioneer DEH 4100 (as the title implies) and it's suffering from a few annoying malfunctions. 1) Sometimes it will independently skip forward through a song, but does not beep to indicate this and it seems to be a pretty random occurrence. Even if it did beep, it still pisses you off. Some of my songs suffer from different volumes, so I go from, like, Ray Charles to a goddamn Children of Bodom song at a higher volume. My ears leave my body for a time. 2) I leave my iPod plugged in via USB, and what used to happen when I'd start the car was that the head unit would automatically start the iPod up. Now, it is about 30% of the time that it starts up automatically, 30% of the time I switch it to USB, and 40% of the time it doesn't even recognize the iPod is plugged in and I have to unplug and plug back in the iPod. 3) Skipping CDs ... an mp3 CD, which has only ever sat in the player. I don't know how it would've gotten screwed up. Possible issues: 1) Frayed cable ... however, when it finally is recognized it plays just fine aside from the random skipping forward, which is ... again, random and actually fairly rare at this moment. 2) Slowly failing circuitry. The second problem above has been occurring for at least six months, but I don't really give a damn. The skipping just started about a month ago, and it seems, oddly enough, that the head unit does not like Ray Charles or The Widdler. That's a joke, hah hah. Anyway, often in electronics you may see a sudden failure, or you may see a prolonged failure. I'm already past warranty, so whatever, but I'm wondering if I should start giving a damn. 3) My iPod is being a bitch. If any of you guys have had similar issues, please let me know. Thanks doods.

    DXB-01 EarbuDD's

I've got a pair of Klipsch Image S4s. They're real nice for the price, and the bass they put out ... I mean, you can't FEEL it, but it's like your body resonates with what your ears are hearing. The bass is excellent. It's like eating bass cake. I can't imagine what DD buds would sound like. Like an earthquake in your brain if you wanted them to.
