    RL-s... not popular???

I think i'd be more interested in the Older Mags...even after reading a review on them, and talking to Nick @SI.... sound like a great driver, i'm just not convinced, primarily cause of the size, power handling.. I know that's just being skeptical but ill wait for more reviews before I'd try it... plus I reallllly want to get something here inthe next few days. Denim, you think the 2 12's sounds like the way I should go... I kinda think the same...just an 18" around my area would be completely different, and its just easier dealing with 1 driver, and most cost effective, AND im going from 2 15's to 2 12's then, which again, me being stubborn, but i'd be afraid it wouldnt have as much output. would 2 15" FI Q's work in 7.4cu. ft WELL, before displ.?

    RL-s... not popular???

I would love to see one in action...ill have to check R.O.E. and see if there are any vids... anyways... back to what I have planned.. Just went out and bought 3x4" Flared Aero ports...hopefully will only need 2...they are 10" long tip to tip....... Anybody have any other subs I should look at... either 2 12" Used (want to stay UNDER $400) or 1 18" (new or used) for an LSQ app. Again, still leaning towards the RL-p, but I know that prefers a sealed box.. right??? I just would like to utilize the power of my amp... MM3000.1@1 Is 7.4 cu. ft enough for most 18's ported (wanna try both, thats why I ask) before port and Disp. (which would probably bring it to like 6cu. ft?)

    RL-s... not popular???

you had the older model?? or did they not remodel it since last year?? I don't like the fact that it is only 35lbs...thats pretty damn light for an 18"... Also don't like how you said it lost the punchiness...when I think sealed, LSQ sub, punchiness is def. part of the criteria I have in mind. anybody know which can handle more power?? The RLp or Havoc? i'd probably run at 2 ohms for an EST: of 2000watts and I'd run little to no gain... but you said 7.? cuft box sealed!!?? isnt that the ported recommendation.. IF THAT?

    RL-s... not popular???

yea im lookin to buy something in the next few days here.. I just don't even know what to look at.. Its either 2 12's or 1 18" (no room for 2 15's ported for most subs) I have 7.4cu. feet MAX to work with, before displacement...so 1 18" will be perfect... really interested in that Havoc though.. I just think the RL-p has more power handling, but I may be wrong..also from what i've read, the Havoc will have a little more output., BUT.. i think the RL-p will sound better sealed... Please leave input on that if you have any knowledge of either driver

    PERFECT WATER

PENTA water is the best... goes through 3 filtration processes...but its kinda expensive... give it a try though... I recommend it.
  8. Just built this a few days ago...havin some power issues so I can't put it in the car quite yet, but here's the build. Hopefully someone can help me out here... as you all know, the edges are easy to clamp down so they don't move while you are screwing them in, but how do you do the port...my port kept moving like this. What I had to do, was just glue it down, and Silicon it until it dried, THENNNN i tipped the box on its side and screwed it down, but this kinda defeats the point of the glue then.. any techniques you guys could give me?? Thanks. I used silicon II and resin on all the edges and corners..... somehow a few pieces of 1/2" MDF got in there... I honestly have NO CLUE how that happened...its absolutely mind boggling, bcause it was all cut from the same sheet........????????

  13. it doesnt have a 4Ga output though... search around more and you should be able to find a 1 in 2out.... Some of them even have insert so you can choose 1Ga, or 4Ga

    SI MAG vs FI BL/BTL

What problems do you have with it? For a single sub a D2 config is ideal as you can run at 1 ohm, but for multiple subs it does present a problem. I would want to run 2 of them at 1 ohm... and that wouldn't work unless they made D4's

    SI MAG vs FI BL/BTL

yea I really like that comparison also Edit: I am trying to decide on the Q vs the Mag currently.. I just don't like what I hear about the Mag's V.C. config.

    Any beer snobs here?

HUUUUGE beer snob here... Always have been... HATE the taste of most, "keg, or party" beer... aka. domestic's. Im a big fan of specialty beers, and private company beers. Spotted cow, HUGE Heffeweizen fan, just getting into some stouts, Don-De-Du, Heff. Summit ale, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (just had it last night... different, but good) Belgian ale's and wheat ales are #1 on my list... and I also love newcastle. People who drink liquor... I just don't think they ever touched the surface of what's really out there... Most of them are probably used to crappy keg beer that they drank at college and high school My friend works at the specialty Dept. at Whole foods...he's the beer buyer there so that gives me a lot of perks, and he just got a home brew kit, so we'll see what happens with that.

  22. Whats up guys, This is the 2nd box I have ever built, so bare with me if it's not the best in the world, but I am trying to do everything based on everyone's input so far. It is for a 99 Nissan Maxima, for 2 15" Type R's tuned at 38Hz. My last box was tuned at 32Hz, so I am just trying a little different sound, and if I don't like it, i'm sellin it all and gonna toy around with something new. I have Goldbond 3, Silicon 2, predrilling all my screw holes like a good boy... using 90Deg. Clamps and straight clamps Here's the pics: Just started today May 8th.... still workin on it...just letting stuff dry, then im gonna get back at it. my only question right now is how long do you guys typically wait until you take the clamps off to move onto the next pieces?? Can I take em off once I get the screws in or what???????????
