I now have a massive audio P3000.1 and was thinkign about hooking two 12Q's up to it.....fist of all which one would be louder? Secondly would the Q's be a good mach for the p3000.1 considering it puts out around 2400rms is what i've heard.

    Design me a box?

23 inches, but if it is not more than like a foot deep it can be 44 inches. My trunk is fudgeed up cuz liek it has room for a bog box, it's just hella hard to get it in there.

    Design me a box?

Hey guys, bottom line is i have designed a few enclosures and they sucked. I'm not so bad on the building part, just the calculating port length and area and volume and stuff. I have a 15Q and was wondering if someone could design me a box of around i dunno 3-4cubes tuned to like 30-33hz. My trunk limits the box to be like 16-16.5 inches tall (otherwise it won't slide in) and uhh yeah thats the only real limitation. Thanks in advance.

    Scott please read

Scott, I don't mean to bother you, but i sent a 15Q to you and it arrived 3 or 4 days ago and i was just wondering if you got it or what. I know the email is down so it's hard to communicate so i'm trying this forum. Please keep me updated if at all possible, thanks. -Mike Weisner

    Messed up 15Q

I sent the Sub to you (Scott) so either there will be a problem with the sub or it'll be the wiring. Thanks

    Messed up 15Q

Hey, I just recently purchased a 15Q from Fi, maybe like two months ago. It always worked flawlessly and sounded really great. The last few days the sub would cut in and out while a song was playing and it turns out a wire came undone on the inside of the box so i unscrewed the sub and put everything back together. Today I turned the music on and there was a wierd sort of popping sound on some of the notes when it played and it would only play some of the time. It sounds as if there is something inside the sub itself that is rattling. I checked all the wires about 50 damn times and made sure everthing was perfect. The sub would cut out and i'd flick the dustcap and it would start again. This doesn't seem like a common problem so i was wondering what to do in this situation... Can i send the sub back to Fi and see if they can fix it or what? Thanks.

    help w/sub wiring

Hey so i jsut bought a dvc 2ohm 15q. Now i was wondering if the gauge of wire i run inside the box to the sub matters? I have some 8 guage wire layign around but the spring terminals on the subwoofer itself will not hold 2x 8 guage wires which would be necissary to wire the sub to .7ohm. ..... http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learning...mpedance=DVC2x2 If anyone knows if i can use liek 12 guage or like 16 guage for this let me know, or if you have any ideas of how i can get two 8 guage wires into the spring terminal.

    15Q box tuning

I have a 15Q and i made a box for it. The box is 3.146 cubic feet. I have two 3" tube ports and i need to know how long they need to be to achieve a tuning of around 33-35 hz. Thank you in advance.

    Box HElp

So i built a box and everything was lookign good. I ordered two 3" port tubes. I tried to put the box in my car without the face board on and it fit. However with the front board on it did not. I had to therefore inset the board changing the demensions of the box a bit. The box demensions are now 25.5 X 17 X 16.75. How long do my 3 inch port tubes need to be to achieve a tuning of 33hz. The woofer i have is the 15Q so displacement is .19 cubic feet. Thanks for the help.

    Is Design Legit?

I;m trying to buy an 18ssd and put it in my acura. The only way to really do so is to use tube ports instead of slotted to decrease the volume of the box. I dont really know how to do it. i went to this site called klaus audio and it designed one for me. I however don't know if it is legit. It says for a 6.2 cubic foot box tuned to 33hz id need 2 4" ports 8.5 inches long each....i wnaan build it but need to see if it will actually work....here's what it says http://www.klausaudio.com/myaccount/view_b...cfm?boxid=37047 ...please tell me what you think.
