    sundown crossovers

If you want to stay "mostly" Sundown, get a 4 channel Sundown amp and run the RF's active. JPS

    Sundown Audio SD-2 8" Prototypes

Jacob, seems like a nice middle size between the e's nd the sa's. What volume will the 8s work in sealed? Thank you, JPS

Got to visit the factory in Simi Valley

I agree with Hispls about Stephen and his "factory" in Simi Valley. He refurbished a home amp for me. Incredibly talented and knowledgeable. The only factory that i have visited that was even cooler was Manley Labs in Chino.JPS

    SA-8 v.2 Prototype Completed

Jacob, Three Quick questions: What box size do you recommend for sealed/ported for these? How much power can they handle on a daily basis? No SPL Deathmatches, just lots of loud clean bass on a daily basis . How efficient are they with 1W? Closer to the SA 8 (80 db) or the SD 10 (86 db)? Thank You, JPS
  9. Fmods are 2nd order high or low xovers (unpowered active - I know it is an oxymoron, but that is as close as I can explain it) at a fixed frequency. They can be cascaded into 4th order x-overs (using a -3db module and two 2nd order Fmods). They can do the job, but their x-over points are limited, which means that you have less tuning abilty, and you won't get the most out of your system. Higher power Sundown 4 channels have 4th order x-overs. Use those if you can. JPS

    Shallow Component Set

Jacob, the motors on the mids look similar to illusion audio. Is it just because this is the easiest way to mount a motor for a shallow mid/woofer or is there some common dna? JPS
