I have DB drive S5 6.5" comps up front right now and my Sony coaxials went out in the back. So I was thinking on moving my DBs to the back and getting some more comps up front. What comps would give me the best clarity for around $150 or less? I have about 50 watts per channel right now but plan to upgrade my amp later.

i changed some things and now only the passenger side speaker is making the sound. the tweeter is fine just the speaker. could it be the crossover? i havent tried switching the drivers with the passenger one yet.

I traded a friend for this beefy mechman 270 amp alternator for my truck. It just looks so much better... What do yall think?

Thanks ill check it out. And its weird cuz only the front speakers are doing it. The backs are fine. I found some more Sonys that I had in another vehicle to use. And its not really a buzzing. Its only audible when there is plain talking. Hopefully that link will help

i have noticed that my dbs have kind of a buzzing or pac man (waga waga waga) sound when there is just talking with no music playing. like commercials. is that normal or is there something i can do to fix it?

I like to hear the music behind me. I don't know why but I think its sounds better when its balanced all the around the truck

I do like the DBs. They could be a little more clear. But overall I would they are good. I guess what I'm asking is what should I replace the back coaxials with? Maybe get another set of the DBs? I may do that. Thanks for the help guys. Yall have gave me more to think about in choosing speakers. I need to figure out what exactly I what first.

I have deadened the doors and don't have any plans to go active. And I kinda prefer the silk tweets. Or should I just get some more coaxials for the back?

I am planning on ordering 4 sundown sa-8 v2 subs for my Silverado crew cab. I am gonna build a box for them that will be 2.2 net cubes, maybe a little more, and with at least 32 square inches of port area. I am wandering if since I am going to be using a crescendo bc2000, should I get 4 dual 4 subs and wire them to .5 ohms or 4 dual 2 and wire them to 1 ohm? I have done the big 3 in 1/0, have a stinger spp1500d, and have all wiring in 1/0. I will also be buying a new alt here soon.

I think I may have figured it out. Using 1/8" steel for the ports to save room inside the box. And I forgot to put it on these but the ports are 20.5" long which puts it around 33 hz.

Would a box that is 2.046 cubes after all displacements with 2 ports that are 1.875x8x22" (will be behind my back seat in my truck) be ok or sound good or give me fair spl numbers with 3 or 4 sa-8s v1 d2s or 3 or 4 orphan 8s in it running off a crescendo bc2000? Is it enough port area? Box volume? Is there anything I should change?

I have a DC level 4 12 with level 5 parts. It has dual 1.4 ohm coils. It has the black dust cap, which was painted (the paint will rub right off if not wanted). And if you are close enough to me it can come with a black carpeted box that was made for it. The box is 34"x12.5x15. I still have the original packaging as well. -$275 for sub or $350 with box I also have a Sundown SA-15 that is pretty much still new. It is still really stiff and has dual 4 ohm coils. It can come with a box that was made for it if close enough to me. The box is roughly 30.5"x20x14. -$175 for sub or $225 with box Last but not least, I have a pair of Kicker CVTs 6.5" (10CVT654). They have single 4 ohm coils and are lnib as well. I still have the original packaging to both. I used these in my doors in my truck for about a month, but the level 4 made it to where they were unnoticeable. -$50 a piece or $75 together I am really looking for 4 Sundown SA-8 d2. May be open to something else but probably not. But don't be afraid to offer. Is there a more cost efficient sub that would sound good?

A buddy of mine wants me to put a system in his 2006 ford f250 4 door truck. He wants the subs behind the back seat. I have about 4.5" of mounting depth, about 14-15" in height, about 60" long, and about 1.25-2 cubes to work with. He wants to be able to hit the lows fairly good in a ported box. Which sub or subs should i get for him? Sizes? How many? I know the shallow mount subs like the cvts and p3s are pretty good but they dont get too low. Also i have 1200 watts at 1 ohm available to work with. So any wattage up to that would be recommended.

Thats what I was thinkin but wasn't sure if there was a sub out there that I haven't heard of or thought of that would be better
