    Pictures, Anyone?

ok Screws equal better? You just said you only have to clamp. So why predrill and then screw and spend money on screws when you can just staple? And yes you can send staples threw 1". I have done it. I Run 120 psi into my gun that shoots up to 1 3/4 staples. And it sinks them. So now why are screws better? I think will already covered all the bases here but for your benefit, i'll do it again. 1. I don't have a pnumatic staple gun. Even if i did, i'd still probably use the screws for the simple fact that I like the way it looks and when building a custom product for a customer, speed isn't a high priority. I'm not working on an assembly line here and if it takes me an extra half hour to screw the damn thing together, so be it. I'd probably just use that extra half hour for cigarette smoking and beer drinking anyway. 2. In my experience with pnumatic staplers, its easier even for a pro to split the wood. you can put a screw in slowly if it's close to an edge to avoid splitting or draw it back out halfway thru if it acts like its gonna split. you have no such luxury with a 120PSI pnumatic stapler. you either get it right the first time or cut a new piece of wood. when i screw boxes together, i can also testfit the pieces before I glue them together, then back the screws out and apply the glue one piece at a time to avoid using clamps all together. 3. I like screws better. Neener neener neener. you are right but money is time and time is in efficency. also you dont have to staple so close to the edges. And for a custom box who wants to see the screws anyway?

    Electrical outlet, as speaker connect

Sounds to me like you are bored and want to have a constructive arguement. Any way I used an electrical outlet once. Bottom line is it leaks. Ported box or sealed box it still leaks. I used more money in silicone than i did the wall plate. Still didnt work right. Another thing is its not safe. I know I know you would have to be and idiot but you could knock the plug loose then its like the builb burns out in the lamp next to it wife not knowing says oh its unplugs and plugs it in boom you amp is toast. Or vise versa plugs the lamp in to the speaker box if the lamp plugs gets loose. Boom you spend a while trying to figure out wtf. Bottom line why do it. Its not cheaper. Its not easyer. Its a more resistive connection. only thing good about it is that its different than other. YAY its gay drop it do it like a normal person there are reasons its being done using binding post or what not. Scott Stoner

    d2 compared to brahma mkII

    d2 compared to brahma mkII

Sorry Clarke, but from my experience they sound nothing alike. The Brahma didn't have the punch/accuracy that the D2 has, I'm not sure how to explain it further. Though the Brahma did get a little lower for me, the D2 still has damn good low freq. extension. We all have our thoughts I don't think there are too many woofers out there that really sound anything like the Magnum..but if I were to give it's closest companion...it'd be the Brahma... IMO..they are both accurate as HELL...Brahma DOES go a lil lower though... It also has a lot to do with each install and application.. I don't really understand why people bother to spend $90 more for something that isn't going to do much more than the Magnum....I think it's the stupid power ratings...everyone is all SKEERED about ONLY 600wrms.... Oh well..all I know is that these puppies will be installed sealed in my coffin..should give some awesome transientes for the Memorial Day folks... Hmm...that was a weird tangent.. Reason being that for the extra 90 bucks you get more potential. Again the I prefer the brahma SQ over the Mag but they are both in there respectiible classes. The Thing is if you want good punch Tight bass as has been mentions your going to want to go with a magnum. If you want eficiency with some balls your goign to look at the magnum. However If you want the poetional to be able to have more displacment linear, then the brahma is what you are looking for. If you prefer your sq to be more transparent then brahma is what you are looking for. To me i prefer the transperncey of the brahma over the punch of the mag. I do say the mag has better punch than any other speaker out there that i have heard to date mind you again a tempest right behind it. But the extra 90 bucks is bassically for potential. Same reason my buddy bought a pair of re SEXXX's None the less they are both awesome driver it just depends on which one you are looking for. I was not going to post this because I seem that I am biased being sponsered and all but I hope that you all witll atlest respect my opinons as I have competed with a Magnum as well and I have had some listening time to it as well. Sound Stream XXX-15??

no---I have heard good and bad about them-----your take on them...... I have heard good and bad, infinte car audio has them uber cheap since they are discontinued, I had thought about trying one out for fun, it is directed as an LSQ woofer, but a few people have said its over motored... here is the link http://www.infinitecaraudio.com/cgi-bin/ic...&catalogno=DV10 Actually Funny I read this Topic I just installed one into a customers car last night. First thoughts were God Ugly. The Suspenion is stiff as hell. Uses some new motor topology anyway on to my thoughts. We put the 10" in an exploder and hooked it up with 500wrms in a 2.5 cube box tuned to about 27 hz given the crapy specs i was given from Sound Stream. My take. YAY just another 10" woofer Not really Worth buying if it was me. The customer bought it new from ubid for 80 bucks I didnt think it was worth it. @ 179 you money is better spent for another 20 bucks to get a RE SE 10" much better sq and much better SPL IMO Scott Stoner

    1 Mag 12 does a 150.8 dB!

I was runing A 12 cube wall in my 98 civic coupe. I have 5 batteries 4 of wich are 1600cca custome built and a stock battery up front running off a stock alt. I was running a single planet audio 1250D with out the cover becasue its ugly. With all 4ga stinger wiring from the batteries in the trunk to the amp that is 1.5 feet away. I was using a Home made power strip with a relay on it for my turn on. And I was using a Clarion 745 deck in which was in a podium which had Monster cable Rca's coming out of the subwoofer out put on my deck and then going into the ssse burp switch with a adjustable length of cable for the button then from there is using EFX rca's to go the amplifier. Also my car is green with tinted window's and a sticker in the back window in which has my shop badge on it. Also I am running on 15" rota's wrapped with kuhmo 712's 50 series. Scott Stoner
