    In Need of HT Speakers

Instead of building, why not buy some inexpensive speakers? I'm selling Sapphire Audio system (5 or 7 speakers)... I think I know someone who wants to sell their SVS system (not sure about the PB10)... or, whatever...

    Dewalt Drill...

I don't care if it's slow; I just want something to work. Mount a woofer; drill a pilot hole or so. It's not that I can't afford a better drill; it's that I don't wanna waste to much on something that will sit around more than it gets used. I'll get more use from a cordless screwdriver vs. a cordless drill.

    Line-level...

Correct me if I'm wrong: But isn't line-level = line-level??? I could have an CD diskman go into a old car tape deck (with the aux jack in the front) into a home amp; it doesn't change the fact that it's line-level? And thus: http://www.mobileaudio.com/rac-faq/rac-faq_5.html#SEC106 That applies to any line-level signal... ...correct?

    Line-level...

Correct. You can split, but not sum. I know... ...I just need the correct ammo to instruct others.

    Line-level...

I'm talking about left-n-right rca's being combine to a mono signal... ...and how you need to use a summing circuit. Some people think you can use a "Y" cable (which is wrong)...
  16. oldschool4life

    Line-level...

Forget voltages for now... ...what I mean is that they are all line level signals; and, if you wanted to combine them into a mono signal, you have to use a summing circuit. Right???
