  1. I have some pre-made industrial wire used on three phase UPS battery systems, including battery hardware. Since they mainly used batteries like C&D, and some of you guys use C&D in your burp-mobiles, this stuff is free to someone who is building a boom car on the cheap.

Multiple one gauge w/battery lugs attached - foot long

Mutilple four gauge w/battery lugs attached - two feet long

    As well as longer ones

It's basically free. I wish to receive something for it. Got an old sub? A few compact discs I might be interested in? Something. But it is esentually free. I can not ship. You have to pick it up in Northern Virginia.

  2. They are JL Audio 250/1 versions 1's. I have a silver one and a black one. I am the orginal owner. They will be shipped in their orginal packaging via FedEx Ground. Shipping costs will be dependant on you zip code and such.

  3. What sort of capability do you need in the EQ? What is it being used to solve?

How much gain do you need in a line driver? Thermal noise atm?

I listen to Sirius XM from my portable device in my work vehicle via aux input. Even thought the level is all the way up, I still have to crank it up. I use a line driver to boost the signal. I just need another one.

I always wanted to play around with a trunk mounted EQ so I figured I can hook it up and tweek the sound a bit.

Trunk mounted are useless IMO. If you have no anomalies adding an EQ won't help anyways. Should always determine what you want to do and then choose what it is.

As for the Line Driver, are your gains maxxed? If not, start there by turning them up.

*no, I am not recommending running at max gain, but if there is more gain to be had on your amps you can use it unless it creates other issues

The vehicle belongs to the company and is all stock. I listen to XM via a portable device via the aux input. I have to crank up the stereo to enjoy it. The output level on the device is on full.

I already installed and use a line drive to increase the signal. It does what it supposed to do. I need another line driver anyway.

Using the line driver tends to bring out the flaws. I want to hook up an eq to tweek it a bit.

Do you have anything for sale?

  5. I kinda decided on that vehicle. I just have to have commit and deal with the financial part of it.

It's a top of the line model with all the trimmings. I'm just researching if there is any issues when you have push button start and factory remote start when a full aftermarket alarm is installed.

And with that particular premium sound system, I'm not sure on what is needed to upgrade the sub.

  6. 2013 Ford Escape w/Factory Sony Navigation; it has push button start (factory remote has to be "in the car", hit the brake, and push the button) and remote start in the factory remote.

I haven't really looked at new stereo gear (haven't decided yet) but I figure I would need a JL Audio Clean Sweep to interface to the factory head unit. I like JL amps anyway so I might get a 600/1. Keeping options open to add 300/4 and door speakers.

  7. I'm in the market for a new vehicle; and, I'm going to upgrade it.

I have questions about today's vehicles:

    1. I'm looking at a model that has push button start and factory remote start; what challanges are there when adding a partial or full alarm on it?

    2. This model has the full sat radio/navigation/premium head unit and I wanna at least add better bass; what challanges are there in integrating to this head unit?

  8. How do you estimate an items worth when you don't have anything to compare it to?

I don't know what it cost new back then; I don't really know what it would have been worth when i got it (kinda a gift/trade type deal). I can't find any "red apples to red apples" comparisons (ebay, etc...); so I don't know what I could sell it for.

    Any ideas?

    It's a old Q-Logic box...

...with two oldschool 10-inch RF Punch's (not sure of the version or impedence).

I used that setup in a certain vehicle because I don't drive it that much (in winter, I hardly drive it); and, I needed room to but more stuff in it (tool bag, cleaning accessories kit, "junk drawer" bag, spar parts, and other things. Gonna sell the vehicle soon so I need to empty it out. If I include it with vehicle (selling to a private party), I still would like to know it's value.
