I ordered December 16th and my DCON was on its way as of Saturday. So excited to get it!

    Help with small ported DCON

A 13.5" long 3" diameter port should do it according to the calculator.

    Help with small ported DCON

Thanks for the info on length, I wasn't sure how that is accomplished. In that case, is a single 2" port too undersized for the 10" DCON? Or should I go with a 3"? This is going to hang into the cargo area a bit, a custom direct fit box of .75 cu. ft. Is available for the space and looks like a factory panel so squeezing another .5 cu. ft. Will jut the one im making out some.
  4. I am going to make my first attempt at a fiberglass enclosure for a single DCON 10. It will be right near the ideal 1.25 cu. ft. But it is a stealth install in a side well in the hatch area of my wagon. I actually use my cargo space. The question comes in terms of ports. I would like to go with aero ports for ease of use. My box won't be very deep so port length will be difficult to attain and keep tuning in the low 30's. What are some thoughts or recommendations? Could I go with Two 2" aeros? Final length would need to be about 12 total inches so two 6" long ports? A single 3" would need to be about 15" long and is not possible. Would two 3" ports be better?

Looking for good installer in Ohio

Exactly halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. In the Ashland/Mansfield area.
  8. This seemed like an appropriate place to put this, sorry if its not. I would like to get recommendations on good installers in the central/north central Ohio area. I want to talk to someone about my custom glass enclosure I plan to build, see how feasible it is or possibly have the shop do it if I think it's too much for me to handle. I really want someone who can teach a bit here. Not just looking to make a sale, someone I can talk to. Any ideas?

    Good protein supplements

I personally go with a whole health supplement called Vega One. It has protein as well as every other nutrient your body needs all from natural sources. It is like protein powder in that a smoothie is the standard delivery vehicle, or it tastes fine just mixed with water. I like to tell people about it as its the only supplement I have ever taken that I feel truly makes a difference. Just makes your body feel good and ready all day. Look it up

How did you guys find SSA???

Through a LOT of Internet research looking for something out of the mainstream. The American made was a nice bonus.

    Newb on the board

Sticking with the factory Bose components and amp for now, the head unit will be upgraded to a pioneer DVD model soon, probably the x4500bt. Amp for the DCON is a little alpine mrp-m500 which will be giving it the recommended 300w rms at 4 ohms. I have it already installed under the cover for my cargo floor.

    Newb on the board

Brand new on the forum here. Been lurking a bit since I ordered my DCON and decided to become official. I'm not totally new to the car audio world having had several set ups in the past, but not an expert by any means. Took a several year hiatus and getting interested again. Current ride is a 2003 Audi a4 avant. Ordered a 10" DCON a few weeks ago and getting excited to receive it. The sub will be getting 3 different boxes, starting with an ideal sealed MDF enclosure, then a close to ideal ported MDF enclosure. Probably ending up in my first attempt at a glass enclosure which will most likely be sealed. I am a guy who really, really needs my cargo space so the MDF enclosures are just to play with til I have time to build the stealth glass one.
