    4 channel amp choices ???

Really? Another thread about the same basic question? Calm down man, people will answer you even if you only make 1 thread. Given the choices you posted specifically, I would put them in this order: First priority: Used Focal Second priority: New Alpine If for some reason the Alpine explodes from the face of the earth: The Kicker. Maxxsonics now owns MBQ. Nuff said....

in the market for components and amp

I will second the notion to spend the money on quality front components and not worrying about rear speakers. With the right speakers and the right power, there is no need to muddy up the sound by adding a second set of music sources that play the same sounds, at the same times, but at a different location and distance... Much easier to keep it simple and install/tune front's to get the desired sound. With all that said, what kind of music do you listen to and what kind of sound are you looking to achieve with the stereo set up? I could recommend my favorite components and 5 other people could do the same, but with different crossover settings and tweeter types and mid types etc. it will be tough to pinpoint what is perfect for YOU.

    Focal vs alpine

Hahaha it's all good. We're all entitled a brain fart once in a while, eh.

    Focal vs alpine

I only say that because I don't swap front stage amps that often, and I would like having the warranty. And I just realized that these are mono amps Uhhh no they're not. They're both 4 channel amps. My personal experience and advice leans to Focal. It's a company I trust far more to put the R&D into quality builds with quality parts that will yield better longevity and an over all cleaner, clearer, more reliable signal. Also, as mentioned before, resale value down the road will be better. If numbers on paper are your concern(eh...), neither will yield an audible different in loudness with the power numbers their little pieces of paper say they can produce.

Danielle's SSA ICON Nissan Maxima Build Log

Those Maxima's are awesome daily drivers. Reliable, comfortable, affordable. NIce snag. I personally think those wheels are vomit-inducing, but I look forward to see what you do with that car and the audio

Whats taking up my time now (Twin Turbos inside)

Man at 19 on a limited budget and a short temper, I wouldn't have ever touched one of those cars lol. I would have burned it to the ground back then, had I ever tried working on one. One of the absolute worse engine bays in the world do to anything in. I wish you the best of luck, and hope it turns out real nice. They're fun cars when they don't need working on though!

    Oh hello there

And such a friendly bunch. I might like it here.

Help choose two amps for my system from a list please!

I didn't see any other thread, so I'll just reply here lol. What is your budget? And if quality is of any concern, you'll stay far far away from the Cadence TXA amps and JVC.

    Oh hello there

Thank you for the very quick and warm welcomes. Not to be expected at this hour on a work night, but hell, maybe we don't ALL work bank hours.

    Oh hello there

Well, if any of you might recognize my name, it's because I'm not exactly new to car audio or forums lol. I just haven't been on SSA yet. A friend told me to check it out, so why not. Glad to see some new faces and a new forum for a hobby and industry I'm so passionate about. I'm sure I'll answer as many questions as I can, more than I'll ask most likely. And I'm sure hanging out and shooting the shit will happen often enough as well. I look forward to checking things out and talking it up, guys.
