Well it's time for a recone, beat the hell outta of my 15 d2 BL. Tensil leads snapped and burned up, oh well time to fix it lesson learned... I need some info on everything I need to order from Fi to get this done.. Like I said its a dual 2 ohm fully loaded..... I got mine back in February is mine a 2009 series? Can I recone it to a dual 1. Been Running a crenshendo 2250 @ 1 ohm...would I be better off going .5 if I can recone to dual 1?.. Thanks for all in put... Fi I must say you make a badass product yeah I clipped the living hell of this sub many many times , guess you can say I bottomed it out not 100 % sure but sounded like the dust cover smacking the vc 100's of times After all the abuse I put to this thing it beat hard to the last moments... Yes I played it clipping most the time yes it's dumb yes this is the result, never know what you got till you push it... Well worth the money... Roughly 90 clipping hours

Never done it... Seen it done a few times... Never have experience if you don't try .. Ya know lol do I need to order adhesive from them too? Also I don't trust any audio store in Kansas City... DIY it's done right. Been my experience in life.

When I spoke with whoever I did on the phone last year he told me they where universal ... But I'm sure I clicked yes on that anyways... On the vc all I can see wrote on it is d2 15 BL I haven't taken this sub apart

Has anyone ever told you if you want something done right do it yourself? Honestly you should of invested money in a quality dmm instead of being lazy and having some audio shop do what they did.... You invest money in your audio system, you should know exactly everything you own specs and all and how it's wired. DIY DIY DIY DIY.... At the end of the day you can only hold yourself responsible.. Not some 3rd party... Should of never drove away when u picked ur car without putting it to full tilt first to make sure all is good... Not being a arseho just honest.... GL hope you take the advice some of the members tried to give you.

I have this amp hooked up to four. Infinity kappas 62.11 6 1/2 2ohm coaxial speakers . My speakers do 75watts rms. the amp claims 100 watt rms @ 2ohm per channel . How do I correctly set my front and rear gains, I should ask this is in a different way should I be using a multimeter or by hearing. What would be the correct way, I do have it on HPF vs full range. Also to any replies if multimeter is used what's the correct way, I understand the meter for the most part. Thank you

I have two sets of infinity kappas but their coaxial, they crank 75 watts RMS @2ohm Directional tweeter with 3db button on tweeter.. I'm very happy with them

Amp listed at the top. Yea at high volume some music can play a lot louder without it doing it. I will try that, didn't know if it was a good idea or not to go directly to the batt neg

My amp is going into protection mode while I get it cranking, but some songs get really loud and it doesn't go into protection mode, gains are only half way up if that, Is This happening because of a bad ground ? My battery is in the trunk and I grounded my amp with my batteries ground on the bracket which is welded to the trunk body. I know that it's a terrible spot, if I bolted my amp ground on the same bracket as my battery ground Would that work?

I'm not dissing the kit everything it great, full spec wire RCA ect just the fuse block and to some of the post I looked and tried to see if it was a universal 8awg to 4awg not this one. I bought this from bestbuy

Huge disappointment on this purchase, went to hook up my amp yesterday get to the point to install the 100amp fuse block... Epic fail! Both Alan wrenches I received wouldn't fit, had to cut down my 4awg wire to make it fit in the fuse block, pretty much they give u a 10awg fuse holder for a 4awg kit, Why kicker why? Hmmm last time I checked I wasn't trying to have a Mickey Mouse system, thanks kicker..... Js I expect that trash if I bought it from eBay... This was a retail store purchase, yes I went back all the 4awg kits were this way... Recommended fuse block ? Post opions thanks

Hello ssa forum. I'm new to the whole car audio forum. I'm in the works of building a system. Haven't had any slap since high school. As I have found technology has greatly change since then, sure I will have plenty of questions. Run down I have a 07 Saturn ion looking to get a Q18 2 ohm in the trunk running it with a rockford T1500 amp. Should sound good since my car is pretty much just plastic. Been curious if the dent resistant panels are bass proof lol. Just throwing out there clueless on how to power this amp "cheaply" as in not looking to have to buy a alt. Ok guys and gals, I have a 07 Saturn ion daily driver. Over the next few months I'm going to post pics and videos (hopfully) of what I got why I got it, and my reasoning behind my choices. ATM I have on order a fully loaded 15 FI BL dual two. Which looks like it will be awhile before it shows up which is good for me, got plenty of time to get everything installed and ready for the arrival. received a few goodies today to get started. H/U I got a KENWOOD Dpx300U it's a dual din receiver to match my oem style. 4 Infinity Kappas 62.11i They are 6 1/2 2ohm 2 ways 75 watt rms. should sound pretty good or at least I hope. Powering them with a mtx thunder 75.4 100 watt rms @2ohm should be a good match. Picked up a kicker zck4 the reason I bought this 4awg kit, it comes with the Full- Spec hyper flex power cable. Full spec wire is the only thing I will be using in my car, including when i do the Big 3. You will read and read on people debating over cca, full spec, and welding wire on forums, there is a video on youtube doing a volt and temp test on cca vs full spec running 14.4 constant for ten mins video speaks for itself. Short version cca couldn't deliver the 14.4v and got upto 100 degrees full spec kept the voltage up and if I recall got only around 45 degrees. You get what you pay for... IMO welding wire is better than cca since it is true copper, and with that said any of the multi strands full spec cables are better than welding wire @ same awg of course. Signal cables I got two sets of kicker z2 and a set of street wires for mono amp. Last few items I need to purchase Mono amp, going to order a Cresnendo bass clef 2000d. Going to run the fi @ 1ohm plenty of amp. Reason why, price is decent,power is there, built for lower voltage cars like my little 4 cyc. (Oem alt is a 120amp tho,reason why is the oem battery is in the trunk?) and I can upgrade my sub without having to buy another amp. Battery choice the Xs3400 looks like it will be my choice, if a second one is needed 3100 for backup. Doubt if I need it, or hope I don't... I guess that is it for now any thoughts or comments are welcome this is my first build, I'm doing it all myself including enclosure which I haven't totally figured that problem out yet..

These are just my opions, from the research I have done. I rate the different cables cca welding then full spec, why I say full spec is better than a welding wire... Is the strand count. More strands more electrodes can travel the line of cable without getting bunched up which causes heat and voltage drop. That last statement is not just my opion but a fact, don't get me wrong welding wire is a good choice, I'm just choosing something better and something that is ment for my application... Welding wire is ment for applications that are involving up too 600 volts, when you have a source that can put out 600 plus volts your really not worrying about voltage drop, compared to a 12 volt system with a long power run every bit counts in my book... Hope that makes sense... As stated before these are my opions, I highly recommend everyone to do the research on the items they are looking to use and make up your own decision between cost,reliability, and quality of the product you are looking to buy.... In a nut shell I work hard for my money, rather treat myself than cheat myself on my choices, Side note... I am in no way bashing any purchases or choices anyone makes with their auto system, at the end of the day you got what you paid for.

Im looking at this crescendo BC2000D for my fully loaded BL 15 dual 2. Want to run it at 1 ohm . I rather buy a amp that has a little more to give, for if i upgrade from the BL to a different line down the road. Also the price isn't bad. Good choice or no ?

Hate to say this but it'll be a good bit more than a month for you bro, unless they kick it into overtime, my guess is 2+ months. I hope I'm wrong but based on your number there orders went from around 250 placed b/t the middle of January and middle of February to about 400 from mid Feb to mid March... Sorry captain... I know this waiting game blows) :gives me plenty of time to figure out my enclosure and build it. Still have four infinity kappas to install w/amp got plenty to do to my little saturn ion. By the time it shows up ill be ready to put it in the box and ride

Ok I have a 07 Saturn ion I'm going to put in a q18 in the trunk. The box from the cut sheet for a ported box won't fit.... My trunk is 14.7 cf so getting a 7 cf box in there can happen I'm just clueless on how to go about it. My opening is 19x40 Ball parking that. of course there is the angle too... Any tips or ticks to get this built and in there would be very helpful. Also I hope I posted this in the correct spot.. Also I feel havering the sub firing tends the trunk lid would be my best bet

Thanks guys for the replies. I'm going to rethink what I'm going to do. My car is a 5speed family sedan as the guys at work like to say. I bought a double head unit to match factory style a decent ken wood. And I'm replacing all 4 speakers with 6 3/4 infinity kappas. Pretty much when I get this system truly cranked not so much interested in hearing lyrics at that vol. Want it to just st8 up stupid slap.. This isn't going to be my first ever system but since I was kid things have changed a lot . So many choices and options out there, things get very confusing for me lol. Q series seem to a good buy outta all the subs that's why I made that choice. At the end of the day I don't want to waste my money nor do I want to cheat myself. Suggestions are more than welcome.
