  1. yes the lifeline battery is for marine and rv use but it does not carry a cranking amp rating because its not used for a starting purpose... currently these things weigh well over 100 lbs. and rest at 13v steady a guy who had them said he had 7k on 1 of them never dipping below 13v on a stock alternator.... I do know these batteries are expensive

    self excite alt problems

take your original harness and use a t-tap to tap into a wire that is powered by ignition meaning you will have to try a few times to get the right wire... you don't want to tap into a constant... the singer alternator does it have a box on the top of it (regulator) or is it just 3 wires? Is the alternator powder coated?

those woofers are gonna want more power I run the old qs on 3k your gonna end up turning the gain up to much and killing them... what kind of electrical system do you have? if you have one I would consider dropping that amp to .5 ohm

    High Output Alternator Questions

You are correct but seeing as 9/10 when an accident occurs and the airbags are tripped it automatically shuts off the engine. Therefore not being able to send a charge through that wire. But like I said that's 9/10 you always have to leave error for human error or manufacturer malfunction.

    High Output Alternator Questions

A Fuse isn't always needed from your alternator to battery the oem wire doesn't use a fuse. But im sure it wont hurt..

    High Output Alternator Questions

also use a dmm and see what the alternator is charging from the top post of the alternator then you will see what it is actually putting out

    High Output Alternator Questions

I don't use a fuse between the alternator and battery just battery to amp
