    SPL enclosure build

space is an issue here so I'll have to add a couple of rods for bracing if needed... total outside dimensions this sucker is almost 9cf3 I don't think it will fit thru the trunk opening my GOD do these things hit hard...[] http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/549000-549999/549281_1244_full.jpg' alt='549281_1244_full.jpg'> 1_1240_full.jpg
  3. this is a common chamber for a pair of T212D4 subs...2.25cf3 per sub plus displacements tuned at 35hz the baffle is not attached and the port is not finished yet but it's starting to take shape

    4-10" w0's in 97 civic

there are 3 different models of the JL 10-W0 the W0-4,W0-8 and the W0-12 there is a small difference in the small parameters they call for 1.25cf3 per sub ported or .75cf3 sealed e mail me direct thru my link with your max dimensions and I'll see what I can do
  6. um...OK..... here have a look at this http://jbl.com/car/team_jbl.aspx?Language=...&Region=USA I have had 10,000 worth of kicker in one install... not knocking but my kicker system was not even close to the SQ quality of my JBL system
  7. with a conventional amplifier the damping factor changes drastically with the frequency and resistance between the amp and the woofer the ONLY time damping factor makes a real difference is if you are dealing with an "effective" damping factor there is only one possible way to acheive a true high effective damping factor and that is with the use of true high current servo's there are very few car audio amplifiers with high quality current servo's and they are usually high priced.... I would go on line and find a used JBL/Crown BPX amplifier if you were after seriously tight bass on a low budget...they have an effective damping factor almost 20X higher than the conventional class D amplifier here is an article on damping factor..pay close attention to the last paragraph http://www.monstercable.com/mpc/stable/tec...tor_Article.pdf

Pioneer W2502SPL common chamber (VW Rabbit)

I don't think he will pound it hard enough to over heat the amps.... it's what he wanted so if needed he can add a fan afterwards

How does a sub play 10 hz when..

all of my systems go right down to 10hz but I design my enclosures with the right amount of internal cf3 and port velosity wich is very important if you like the LOW LOW"S personally I like it when my system can produce sub sonic waves that are felt 3 or 4 cars ahead..feels like the floor of the car rolls like when you flick out a towel here is a pic from my last system....this pic was taken at 15hz take a look at the surround...it is full of dimples and wrinkles a little HEXCURSION

no wasted space here.... just to bad his amps were sliding around in his spare tire compartment..they are a little beet up but the amp rack fits like a glove[]
