Alright so I made the first budget purchase lol. Just ordered Kenwood KFC-G1620 6.5 Co-axil speakers for all doors and I am going to run them off the Kenwood head unit. My Kenwood Deck says P-MODE on it which I am guessing means Protect mode because the Inifinity Kappas are 2ohm speakers. Everything is hooked up correctly and it is playing normal as well so I am pretty sure its the internal amp not being able to handle the 2ohm loads. So the new speakers should be here tomorrow so either tomorrow or friday I will hook them up.

So for a couple reasons I will be selling some stuff. I will be selling the XS Battery D5100 in the back and I will be returning the SAX100.4 rev D amp. I will also be selling my my Inifinity Kappas and going with Sundown SA-6.5 Components and run them off of my head unit for now. One of the reasons is that I want to get rid of the extra battery is to not strain my stock alt. I will be fine with just the big 3, 150A Alt and XS D6500 up front for the SAZ 2500 for now. Also since I have to take the box out to do this I was thinking about pushing the box all the back towards the trunk and sealing it off instead of having it right up against the trunk opening. I have heard people have gotten louder, not by much but a couple .dbs wouldn't be too bad.

The box I picked up.. Opening, remember this is B stock so its not going to be as pretty haha. Even though the amp box is damaged everything was wrapped perfectly and each amp only had minor scratches. Mostly on the mounting feet but the screws covered most of it. Thanks DB-r Electronics! Rubber feet to help with vibration, I cut up one of my old resistance bands I use to work out with. I used four for each amp for each screw. Then I cut 2 long ones and placed them in the center so both amps would have technically 6. SAX 100.4 installed. SAZ 2500.1D installed. Installed a second PAC LC1.. This way I don't have to be in the car while I compete in SPL so I can gain more space and improve my SPL. I usually keep this one under the seat when I drive and use the one on my dash. That's it for now. I will have to record some videos. Anyways, today I have to work on some issues I have been having with some feedback. With my hifonics amps I had none. With these I am having some so I am going to troubleshoot later today. Also, I will be purchasing the X-12s soon, I think they will go better with the 2500D and with my lows.

For real and they kept giving me attitude lol. I wasn't giving them any lip, I just wanted to make sure that my amps wouldn't get shipped back to DB-r because of Fed Ex lol. Anyways I am not tired of them, they are awesome subs I just really like the X and feel like it would do so much better on the lows.

Picked up my amps last night. Had a problem with Fed-Ex so I didn't get them on Wednesday. The order was sent requiring a "Direct Signature" which is a PITA but safe at the same time lol. I called Fed-Ex and had them send it to the local office because I wasn't going to be at home to sign for it on Monday and guess what they did.... hmmm any guesses?? They sent it to my house on Wednesday and I wasn't there to sign for it lol. So I called back and after a long conversation I got an apology and they said, "we will send it to the local office tomorrow. " Yesterday, I check on Fed-Ex online and see that the package is headed to my house again..... UGH!!! They did the same damn thing twice in a row, they took the package to my house and said they couldn't deliver because no one was home. lol. I called them again and complained again. They apologized again and took the package straight to the local office after the driver was done his route. Anyways, I am going to be installing the amps tonight after work and will have some pics up either tonight or sometime during the weekend. Also, thinking about the Sundown X-12s. What do you guys think??

Thanks man, it took a lot of time and effort. At first I just wanted to throw it in and hear it, but then I said better do it right the first time. Glueing that fabric was a bitch in the car. It sounds good and gets really low. Can't wait till the subs are more broken in and I get my saz2500

THE BOX IS HERE! Terminals.. Mounting my EQS to the box. I never change my equalizer settings but if I need to I can always go back there and change it. I mainly use it for the pre-amp. Now to seal it off. Thick cardboard, vinyl, gorilla tape, black fabric, fabric glue and Second Skin. The cheap way.. Just cut the fabric to match the cardboard and box height and width.. Laying it and glueing part of the fabric to the box and the cutting it out.. While its drying I drilled the holes out for the amps onto the box. Slid the box into the trunk and placed the thick cardboard around it and starting to tape around it with the gorilla tape. This is from the front side of the box.. I didn't get a picture of this but I glued the rest of the fabric to the cardboard in the front, you will see what I am talking about soon. Now to the trunk side.. Now to lay some deadener down to re-inforce the tape. No point of showing around the whole box because its a tight space so all you will see is deadener and tape lol. All looks like this picture lol. That's it for sealing off. Tomorrow, I am going to open the trunk while playing and see if I am getting any cancellation. I didn't get a chance to do that today. The box is screwed into the floor so it won't move, the other L brackets are for the battery. I vinyl wrapped all the L brackets black to match. Second battery hooked up! Now to the amps. Can't wait for my SAZ2500D and SAX100.4 to come in they will look way better in the trunk.. BTW it was a pain in the ass screwing those amps in that tight space lol. There Here it is all finished up.. I will take more pictures tomorrow, these are kind of dark because it was raining outside while I was doing most of the install so I had the car in the garage. I will try to get a video of it as well. Thanks for looking..

The moment everyone has been waiting for!!!!! Well, mostly me lol. Anyways on to the pictures! Setting up and waiting for Fed Ex.. Looks a little better in person, but here is the rear deck with Second Skin.. Some equipment, everything was kind of laid out so when the box arrived, I could just throw everything in. And yes, I know that those amps are not the Sundowns but I am waiting for the amps to come in the mail so for now I will be using some Hifonics amps.

Def. wasn't thinking that this would be your logic for using a 20 htz tune ...Cool looking enclosure though ...It's really for sound quality, but maybe it could help with one lol. Thanks the enclosure comes in today. Should be here anytime now. Everything ready for the install. Just waiting for fed ex. Will have pics tonight or tomorrow.

I mainly got the 20hz port to try for hair tricks haha. I do have quite a bit of songs that are close to that frequency. My 28Hz port will def be used the most though. BTW just checked on FED EX and my box will arrive tomorrow around 12n.

All credit goes to DaveTheBoxGuy! 4.5ft3 of net volume, depends on which port is in the box. The port in the box is SPL tuned to 45Hz, the one on the left is daily tuned to 28Hz and the port to the right is tuned to 20Hz for some loowwwwwssss...

Everything will be done by then so I am planning on making the trip. The box ships today and should arrive Wednesday or Thursday. The only thing I am waiting on now are my Sundown amps. I will be using my old Hifonics amps until they come in.

Yea for now. If I ever upgrade to more power I will be adding another run for power and one for the ground. Ground for that battery in the back is to the frame.

Today I finally got some time to get some of the wiring done. I am trying to make this build as clean as possible. Here is what I was left with when I sold my system lol. Installed my second 300A fuse and used gorilla tape to hold it down and there is padding underneath of the fuse holder. Ran my grounds and power wire to two separate terminals that will connect to the second battery in the trunk and then ran those wire from the terminals to distribution blocks for the amps. Just a close up of the distribution blocks for the power and ground. Here is a close up of the terminals I was talking about. These will be going to the second battery. The wire will be hidden more when I get the box, but the battery will be centered at the very end of the trunk. Everything has temporary zip ties on them now and they will be cut and tightened when everything is where it needs to be. Here is the end result, again wires will be cut and hidden more when the box arrives. That amp is my temporary mids/highs amp until my Sundown amps arrive. Until then I will be using Hifonics ZXi 80.4 and the Hifonics BRZ 1700.1D. BTW the power/ground wires will be coming where the speaker wire is currently located, they are just moved out of the way in that pic so I could put the trunk floor back in. Thanks for looking. I may go to Audio Jam in DE on the 15 of Sept as well with my set-up complete. More pictures to come soon. Should have all my wiring done this weekend, trying to make this a really clean installation and hide everything. I can't do the 15th of September as I have a track day, but I can aim to hit October 13th. Well if you can't make the 13th either, Baltimore isn't that far away. Its about an hour and a half so we could maybe meet in the middle and check out each others systems!

I sure hope that sub amp and your electrical can dig down that deep ... would be very interesting to see and hear !!! Sure wish I could get a demo sometime !!! Best of luck with your Setup Sir !!! Spammer alert !!! Thanks! Yea my electrical can def handle it. When I had the 2400 Hifonics and played low I would get about a .4 voltage drop. Now that I have an extra battery and a better amp coming I would probably see a little less or equal to that, leaving my voltage around high 13s after drop. Drive to MD and you can get a demo!! haha.

Thanks! Yup, 20Hz haha. I love the lows and have plenty of songs that play that low or around that freq. I will most likely use the 28Hz port as my daily so I can get some of the highs too.
