    What Door Speakers to Buy

No I wont be going active. Atleast not until I fully understand it and feel comfortable it tackling that
  2. Hello guys, well its been awhile since ive been in here. Im kinda outta touch with what new and whats good. So right now I have 1 15" Fi BL on a Sundown Saz1200.. i think its a SAZ, ill double check when i get home. I love this sub its great! since Im good with my sub, its time for me to move on to my door and dash speakers. My motto is I want good quality products, I dont really care about looks, plus they wont be seen anyway. I remember years ago when I got my BL asking about Sundown and people saying that they didnt put their money in looks they put it in the product. well thats what im looking for with my speakers. Im looking for the best bang for my buck, its not all about Names with me. I have a 2010 Dodge Charger SRT8. It has 6x9s in the front doors and rear dash. No speakers in the rear doors. in the front doors should i stay with 6x9s or should I go 6.5s? Then what about the rear dash? As far as the speakers go I want something I can put on a amp and i want them to be very Clear, Loud. I really need to bring out my Mids and highs! What do you guys think.. My budget would be about $750-&1000 for the speakers.

    Speaker selection Help

Wow!! Hey thanks a lot for that. Now I know that's not the way for me, but it was very informative. In my Maxima I had my subs in the trunk, in the front doors I had a JL component set, not amped.. It sounded good, but I really want to do my charger right. So I want to amp the mids and highs and dyno mat the doors. Im a big musical person so I really want to enjoy clean highs. I listen to everything, rap, pop, dub step, country, top 100... Just music..

    Speaker selection Help

wow, thats some good info. I dont listen to my music insanly loud, but i do listen to it loud. so i would like for it to be clear at a loud volume. I never thought about just doing the front, but it makes since. I would like to get the processer in that 1k, but if i cant oh well. It will be professionally installed, i dont know about custom though, probably stock locations. What are some good brand/models that i sould look at for speakers, amps, and processors? im open to all brands, i just want quality. i want to do this car right!

    Speaker selection Help

Hello, so I have a dodge charger Srt with the Boston setup. I took the kicker sub outta the trunk and put in my Fi BL. When I get home from this deployment I'm looking at changing all of my inside speakers. I'm look for sound quality. The bass is there, but I want the inside to be very clean! Help me choose my setup. I'll go with 6.5s in the front door and 6x9s in the back dash. What brand and models and amp do you recommend. I'd like to get it done under $1k but that's flexible. Do you think I should add more tweeters, there is only one set in the factory setup. I'm keeping my factory NAV. And I'm looking at a JL clean sweep or Rockford Fosgate 360.. All options are welcome.

Well I will have to check when I get home to see exactly how it's set up, but a estimate would be that the bass boost it pretty much if not all the way down. If it's not, I'll make sure it is! The gain is about 3/4 of the way up. Now what exactly is clipping??? I went to the shop that did the install, and the LOC is about 1-2volts..

    SAX-1200D blowing fuses

Yes it does have a line out converter... Well I believe I found the issue, the bass boost was all the way up and the sub sonic was up too, so we turned them both down, things are wayyy better. When I'm ready beating I still get voltage drop into the 12s high 11s, I will be adding a batt, and big 3. This cars main batt is in the trunk so I have to figure out what wires go where for the big 3.. So my amp just cut out due to heat (I was jamming) so what do you guys do to keep your amps cool. I have a spacer to keep the amp raised off the seat for air flow.. I'm thinking adding a fan..

So I have my stock headunitl, and no battery.. I'm I correct in say that maybe when the gain is up it pulling to much power? Also would something like the Rockford Fosgate 360 and a extra battery help correct this issue? Since the gain is not to get full output, how do I know I'd I'm getting the full 1200 rms, or full output?
  13. I mean which model the 600 or 1200 or 1400
  14. Ive seen these brands.. which model would you reccommend
