  1. Yeah, they are too underpowered, many times people complain about how they sound until they can fully push them, then they love them.
  2. Says the guy with an enclosure in cabin as well. Was also checking PSI Platform 1 15's. Might be another good option. Decent price. Seems like good bang for buck.
  3. I would also consider doing 2x15" SSA GCON's sealed. Or Skar VVX-15's sealed. Or original idea of RE Audio SEX 15's sealed. Not sure what to do here, but those three subs I like. Not sure if the extra wattage and enclosure space is worth it to choose the GCONS over the others, and if the SEX compare somewhat equal to the VVX's, on a price point I might as well just get the SEX.
  4. Sweet! Yeah, been searching for some dual 15 sealed setups on youtube, Seems legit.
  5. I don't have the car anymore, have a 2005 Civic Coupe now. How come you'd choose two 12's sealed over two 15's sealed?
  6. Oh, it was impressive.Maybe it's just me but I found that I listened to the same tracks on OCD repeat. Stock stereo in Civic right now, and find that I've been able to actually enjoy the music, rather that the result of it, if that makes sense. How is your sub amp connected to your stock stereo? It looks as if you have a huge peak in your response that is only sounding good on certain songs that you are unable to tame. That was a previous setup. I built three enclosures for the BTL ranging from different sizes and tuning frequencies, all sounded great in their own way. Listen, it's just how we all have our favorite demo songs, that sound 100% on our builds. There was nothing lacking, maybe I'm just looking for a flatter response or more woofer control. 7. I'm good, build it big enough so it doesn't move. No really, I'm confident I can build it secure enough, besides, I don't drive this car much, and do you tell everyone that who has audio equipment in cabin?
  8. So no one suggests two 15's sealed?
  9. Loud is not a priority to me, I'm just wondering how much air would be moved with 2x15's @ 600RMS each sealed compared to one 12" ported at 2000RMS. I ran the BTL for two years and listened to just about everything through it. I guess I just became obsessed with finding the songs that sounded best through it in my vehicle.
  10. The '05 civic is my weekend car, I park it in garage, not too worried about theft. I was also considering 2x15" Obsidian in sealed, according to T/S they should do well. Enclosure would be well secured, no worries, and I make it look nice. The front baffle will be at the same angle as the front seats. With each subwoofer behind driver/passenger seat and adequate breathing room. Yes, I will be sealing it from the trunk.
  11. The trunks on these cars hold no air in, and I don't like the feeling of all that weight at the back of the vehicle. What's a disadvantage to having the woofers in cabin?
  12. Oh, it was impressive.Maybe it's just me but I found that I listened to the same tracks on OCD repeat. Stock stereo in Civic right now, and find that I've been able to actually enjoy the music, rather that the result of it, if that makes sense.
  13. Do something else. What are your goals? What vehicle? Budget? 2005 Civic Coupe. Just posted goals. I'm doing entire system but budget for sub/s amp would be about $700.
  14. I don't care about loud, I want something that sounds good, where I can enjoy listening to the music and not just be obsessed over a few songs that sound optimal. Moving some air would be great too.
  15. Sealed box for the 15's would be around recommended specs that is 1.5-2.0 per woofer, of course I'd go bigger, probably 2.5cuft unless someone suggests otherwise.
