This a good amp for my RL-P 12"?

    my current box is ported 2.05 ft^3 @ 29hrz
  2. I can get an Alpine MRD-M1005 for around $200. It does 1000w RMS x1 @ ohms. Would this be too much power for it? Thanks, Logan

Actually, it's very simple. I just took a hole saw and drilled through. Make sure to either do it above the tabs (on the back side) or centered between them. I actually had to bow the panel with my arm a bit while I screwed on the mounting nut. But it fits, just barely. Need pics? Please and thank you. Hopefully I can do it when I remount my speakers with the brackets your sending me.

I'm curious how you mounted the tweeters in the kick panels. I kinda want to do the same.

    Good box for an RLP-12?

Now my old box. It sounded innacurate and boomy and didn't get low enough. My new one is ~2.1 (to my calculations) and tuned to 29. It is MUCH MUCH MUCH (light and day) more controlled, sound soooo much better. My old box would completely slam some notes so much that it was crazy, and then some others like the sub wasn't even on. Now it hits them all evenly and cleanly. Now I just want a bigger amp. I'm currently sending it 600w, but since I got new components up front and amped them its not quite keeping up. I'm thinking about a 1000-1200w amp. Is that too much power for a daily driver? Anyone have one for sale? Thanks! PS... : I LOVE your avatar. That girl is gorgeous.

    Help me make a decision...

Hey guys, Heres my problem: My system isn't loud enough for me anymore. What I have: -12" Soundsplinter rlp -Planet Audio amp [does 650 into 2ohms(which is what I'm running my sub at)] -2.6 @ 34hrz box I think its a combination of my mildly weak amp, and not quite the right size box thats throwing me off, but then again, I could be wrong. What I'm considering doing is selling my RL-P 12" and the amp with the box for as much as I can, and with it purchasing a 15" sub (most likely another rl-p) and a 1400w amp and then building a new box. I'm also considering buying another 12", buying that same 1400w amp, and running 2 12"s. If I'm thrifty and get some good deals, I'm sure I can come out about even/a little over. I love LOW powerful bass, and the 12" I have isn't really doing it. Is it just underpowered and in the wrong box or what?! I really appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thank you.

    Good box for an RLP-12?

Does anyone have dimensions of a box that they've made for an rl-p 12"? A picture with dimensions on it? Because the current box I have has a blow thru problem, and I don't want to have that again. I want this sub to sound awesome.

    I'll do it at 2^ft3 @ 29 then.

    Good box for an RLP-12?

I can try a 2 @ 34 too. What have people run them at with success? Tell me, and I'll build that!

    Good box for an RLP-12?

Hey guys, I don't like my current box so i'm thinking about making another one. My current one is about 2.6ft^3 @ ~32, and the one I want to make is 2ft^3 @ 29 ^^ Thats the one I'd be building. From the free box plans at Caraudio.com . Would it be worth enough of my time to make a new box? The one I have is too big I think.
