  1. I have one run of street wires 0 guage ofc front to back and same cable for rear ground. Big three is also the same. Rear battery is a walmart marine deep cycle (don't remember size but was one of the biggest they had. Front battery is just a regular replacement battery. As far as the testing I put the meter on lower passenger side windshield and went from 50hz down in 2hz intervals and peaked at 42 then tried around that and did my peak at 43hz with driver door open. I didnt experiment with seat positions or anything like that. Never been around any comps or anything. I'll do some pics and videos. I got the kids and neighbors so I'll get them when I can. Btw thanks for the advice.

  2. I am sure I will be more than happy with them. Quentin said they are 75% complete. They will be in my mustang with a trunk wall powered by a bc3500. Will be my biggest and best so far. I have read pretty much everything I can find on the Ethos. First was bigjons review that got me hooked then every other one is just icing on the cake. So thanks to everyone talking about these and Quentin for making it possible.

  3. I just picked up a set of ascendant audio carbon 6.5 and tweeters. They did not come with crossovers. Im switching to a kenwood ddx371 or Pioneer avh4200. Well either one have the crossovers internally to run them or could passive crossovers work and if passive is a better option than the head units listed which crossovers would be best. Thank you for you time as all I have had in the past is coaxial speakers and since ordering two 12" DSS Ethos and a bc3500 I know the rest needs upgraded. Also my mtx te404 amp running high/mid and is extremely limited on setting the crossover. Thank you

  4. Hey fellas, I'm looking to change box design. I want it to be port forward. The dimension I have available is 32"W x 12.5"H x 29"D. It is running on a bc2000. I am trying different boxes until I can get another xcon and have no experience with 4th order builds. It will be a 98 mustang trunk wall. If there are any details you need let me know as I have no knowledge of 4th order designs. Thank you to anybody who helps.

  5. Since i already trimmed for height on the rear seat opening I could trim for width i could trim each side to accommodate 32.5"W. With that said I figured 32.5W x 12.5H x 29D with a port 5.5W x 11H x 21.75L would leave enough room to still mount the subs and tune it to 31 hz. And have 60.5 sq. In. of port area and have 3.9 cu. ft. net. Getting closer?

  6. I currently have a 12" Xcon d2 with a bc2000 wired in parellel in a 2 cu. ft. net box tuned to 32 hz. with 38.5" of port area and love the sound. It is in a 98 mustang with stock alt, stock replacement battery(under hood), 0 gauge all the way including big 3, and marine deep cycle in trunk. My 2 concerns are running amp at .5 ohm until i can get a second bc2000( not sure how long it will be until i get it) linked at a 2 ohm load. Before i link the two i will upgrade the alt. The second concern is space as i only have 31W x 12.5H x 29D max. I really want to keep ported but if it isn't optimal then it might have to be sealed. So I guess I have 2 questions. Can anyone help me by designing a box for these bad boys tuned to the same frequency or maybe one or two hz. lower with the port between the subs if possible and I will have two bc2000s linked at 2 ohms when all said and done. Second question is how do most ppl feel about running amp at half ohm until i get back up? I can just turn the gain down if I'm worried about it? This is for daily music. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

  7. So I've been using both equipment for a week now. I'll start with the XCON. It is in a 2 cu. ft. Net and tuned to 32 hz. It sounds amazing from higher bass notes to the low notes. Ppl can't believe its one 12 even though they are staring at it. It has a very nice deep tone with very good accuracy. The lows are INCREDIBLE! This subs moves so much air. I haven't listened to any bass so far i didn't like with this speaker. I like a lot of rock and rap. Not to mention it looks great. Didn't seem to take long to loosen up. I love it, just wish I had one more. Now on to the amp. I previously had a mtx thunder elite 1501d running at 2 ohms. All i did was Change the sub, box, and amp. The crescendo has to be more efficient. I have it running at 1 ohm and it seems to draw about the same power at one ohm as the mtx was at 2 ohm. At 2 ohm the mtx has a birth sheet saying 1211 rms and the Crescendo is 2250 rms at 1 ohm. Very happy with that. The bc2000 seems well built. The setting knobs are smooth and the rca's fit snug. It does get almost hot after hours of playing full tilt but not to hot to touch. The pair of sub and amp sound great together. Hopefully this helps someone. Thanks for reading
