Yes, that is correct.

That blow through cost more than the truck did. Plus its over his budget.

LOUD bass and $5-600 aren't compatible. Plus loud is all relative. To me 150spl is far too loud. To you, it may not be nearly loud enough. To him it may be anywhere in between. I still think a pair of higher quality 10" or 12" speakers in a good box would be better than 6-8 cheap subs, but who knows.

4 ga wire should be sufficient for 1500w with that short of a run. (1500*2)/12.8v=~234a
0-4ft 4ga should be sufficient for up to 250a. However, you could always upgrade the distro block to hold 2ga wire if you are really concerned about safety.

A single 12" or 2 10" in a good ported box is plenty of volume for a Yukon. If he doesnt want to do major upgrades and keep it on a budget I feel that would be the best option.

Other option is just man up while I have the interior stripped and run the multiple runs I would need.

So I was thinking about running a single run of Stinger speed wire from the stock HU to processor, then processor back to the stock harness with Metra adapters to connect the speakers. It would be easier to do than multiple 12-14ga runs, but I'm not sure of the wire quality. The wire is 9 runs of 18ga wire in a single 4ga jacket. Im running roughly 75w per channel at about 15'. Am I correct in my thinking that 75w should be fine?

Finally got the money saved up for sound deadening. I'll be able to create a build log as soon as it arrives

Raced there a couple years ago in the e30. It's a nice little track.

I just traded my HAT L4 for a set of HAT L6v1 midbass. Going to see if they are better than the <$100 SB Acoustics.

I also don't get the fascination with auto manufacturers claims of how quick there vehicles run on the Ring. Who care? It in no way relates to how the car will perform on the road and if they design it to do well on the Ring, it surely will make a shitty road car.
It is, and has been forever considered the most difficult and challenging track every built. They say it takes years of practice to get even remotely good at all the different corners, elevation changes, ect. It's the ultimate test of skill and it's open to the public. I would dare to say it is the BEST track. You must be able to adapt and set up the car for the track. I could go on
Ive raced on multiple tracks here in the US. COTA is nice and all, but its not challenging. It's big, wide, and you don't suffer as bad from mistakes.

I disagree. If you remember Im really big into car racing. I would spend the entire vacation on the Nurburgring.

What amps are you looking at? I have a US Acoustics Mike I'm going to be selling soon.
Been out of audio for long enough I'm not sure who is around anymore. The Helix DSP has a built in 75x8 RMS @4ohm so I only need a sub amp. Ive still got a Mag v2 and Brahama 10" MK2 sitting around. So I'd guess I'm looking for around 750-1kw @ 1ohm.
Are those amps still Zed amps or do they have a new buildhouse?

Now I need to figure out a which sub, a sub amp, and box. I also need to go back to saving up for sound deadening materials.
