I work to live, not the other way around. I have been involved in car audio for 20 years. Built many many boxes, Plexiglas & mirrors my specialty. New install coming soon.
  1. Volts X Amperes = Watts. By the way, there is no standard definition for a watt in audio. Simplest way from an EE point of view: In terms of classical mechanics, one watt is the rate at which work is done when an object's velocity is held constant at one meter per second against constant opposing force of one newton. In terms of electromagnetism, one watt is the rate at which work is done when one ampere (A) of current flows through an electrical potential difference of one volt (V).

It was good to see you at the Phx show. Ken donated a Damplifier Pro door pack for the raffle. My intent is to have a booth set up at future events and have Ken up there so everyone can put a face with the name. We are looking forward to a great year.

    Sound Deadening

GM roofs are known for flexing badly. Best to brace it with 4' strips of layered MDF with silicone to adhere it, then coat with the Damplifier Pro on the metal between the strips. That will give you the added rigidity.

Hey Stefan, I was the one helping at the Hooters show. Blue jeep with the Fi BL, right? My ride will not be done for some time but I might put the BTL back in for the Dec 4th show in Phx.

    Second Skin New Guy

I'm still learning the ropes so to speak but I will let everyone know about specials, tech tips, prizes, etc as they are communicated to me by Ken. However, at the Dec 4th Arizona Audiofest Hooters event, I want to do a raffle for some door kits to benefit the Melonhead Foundation for cancer patients and their families. Information forthcoming.

    Fi BTL 22? IB22?

That 90 grand covers machine set up, tooling, development, fabrication, all that. I guarantee this is NOT an off-the-shelf item, and none of the parts are either.

I noticed you have Kicker as your official amps for the product. Maybe you should look at Zapco. It also helps that I am the rep out here for Zapco, and having a BTL, I can attest that it is a MUCH BETTER PRODUCT than Kicker. We built a system in a Honda Element running 2, just 2 Zapco 9.0's to 8 Cerwin Vega vmax 15's and it hit 159-160dB consistent. I have absolute faith in the product, and yours too. Here are the specs: Stereo, 4 ohms: 2x300 Stereo, 2 ohms: 2x600 Stereo, 1 ohm:2x1100 Bridged, 4 ohms:1x2200 Bridged, 2 ohms:1x2200 T.H.D. + Noise: Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20KHz, + 0dB / -0.28dB S/N Ratio: <0.05% @ 4 ohms Transient Distortion: <0.009% Slew Rate: >20V/uS Damping Factor: >225 @ 4 ohms Input Sensitivity: 250mV - 16 Volts Dimensions: 19.5"L x 8.75"W x 2.375"H 2-Channel High Efficient Full Range Class D Amplifier with Tripath Microprocessor Control Technology Over 2000 Watt RMS Power into 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm Configuration -Chassis design allows infinite customization options by replacing slide-in trim panels to personalize any installation - SymbiLink™ Balanced Line Technology provides up to 16 volts of balanced input for the cleanest, quietest signal possible -Dual 1,800 watt power supplies for surges well in excess of rated output power for SPL use - Three independent output filtering stages allow full range use as well as bass use in SQ systems - Optical isolation at each stage - ZAPCO DCS microprocessor control for all amplifier functions - Ultra high speed switching frequency for reduced "footprint" -Adjustable input gain up to 30.5 dB -Adjustable Pre-Clip circuitry enabling the user to set the maximum input which in turn determines the desired output. power.
