    thats just the way i got the design, it was called a fluid transition port, a form of a tapered t-line. I am completely happy with it with only a aq2200d on them. I plan to have a 3500d soon, but have 2 other projects going on right now so the amp will have to wait. As for update, I have played just about everything on them, sounds perfect on all. Kills the lows, playing decaf mixes sounds awesome, rock music sounds great too

    Im running 2 FI BL 18's with cooling and flatwind coils off an aq 2200d for now. I have 1 xs d3100 in the back now, with another being ordered soon, stock alt on 2012 scion xb now. I havent had any voltage issues now, but definitley getting another d3100. Will this be enough for a crescendo 3500d @ 1ohm? Thanks

    my other sub is supposed to ship today. So hopefully it wont be long, anyway, here couple pics of where im at now. The blue suede was just put on so when I do my trim panel on the front in black suede, you will see the blue logo im cutting out.

    well, while i wait to see where other sub it, here is the design i had done, and the box is built in the car. Just waiting game now, done by evan at wooferwarehouse.com. I still got to make my trim panels for the front and amp rack

    Actually I ran fi bl 12 on a sundown 1500d before I bought the 18's. Then I got 2 aq hdc3 12's off a sundown 3500 which was very loud, people were suprised to see it was just a pair of 12's. Then i bought this little scion xb and ran a pair of skar 12's and skar 1500d for a month and they ok but nothing like I really wanted so I changed to a pair of obsidian 18's off the skar 1500d. They sounded clean, very low but just didnt give me the output I wanted, possibly because they only had 1500 watts to the pair, but even after 5 minutes they would get stinky. Then psi p2 12', then aq hdc3 10" off aq 2200d. And now back to the bl 18's. I wanted to do the sp4 18's but really didnt have the extra money for them right now. And Im trying to sell my 2200d to get a 3500 so I figured the bl's would be a good choice just for daily driver.

    I ran 2 bl 18's in an expedition for over 2 years off 2 sundown 1500d's strapped and then changed to a sundown 3500d. Then I have ran seems like everything since then so I figured why not go back to what I was happy with at first

    Its been awhile since I had good pair of 18s, and I just ordered 2 FI BL 18s with cooling and flatwind. That was by far my best pair of subs I have owned in the past and decided to go back with what I have had the best luck with. Going in a 2012 scion xb

    thanks for all the help, I actually had alot of people to tell me to go with the psi but I just wanted to go back to fi. I have a psi level 2 12" that used for awhile before i put the hdc3 10 in. Looks like the bl is what I will get and then later I may build a new box if I think they will be better in it

    if I am building a new box, I am for sure going with bl 18's. I already have back seat out, I had the obsidian 18's in for a little while and decided I wanted to run more power and a small setup. Now I been running aq hdc3 10" off aq 2200d for little while, and starting to miss my 18s. The box I have now, I have few other options for subs. Just trying to decide so I can make an order.

    Buddy of mine has 2 bl 18's ran off 1 sundown 2500d, he has them in slot port now in about 12.5 cubes gross. They sound decent, but dont really have the lows, and its tuned to 32hz. He wants new box with 4 6" aeros's in about 16 cubes net tuned to 32hz. How does this sound for size? I ran 2 bl 18's about 2 years ago off 2 sundown 1500d's in about 18 cubes net with slot port and they pounded the lows, and sounded perfect. I just havent done any builds with aero ports.

    i sold everything and thought i was gettin out of audio, well almost a year later and I start over. I had fi bl 18's, and then aq hdc's. Considered running 4 aq 18s in a wall, but still would like to try the 21's. Would 3 dp 21's do ok off 1 sundown 3500d? Will be walled in a 98 expedition. I had talked to some guys last summer that told me not to run the 21's unless just burping them, said they wouldnt do good for daily. Well, this is just for daily driver, maybe some local comps. What suggestion do you have?
