why cant u do port back and sub back; in my opinion this sounds the best for a ported box out of a trunk. What are your goals? #'s SQ or just daily

First we need to know if you sit on pillows while you drive. Two SSD's should do the trick and will give you room to grow should you wish to add more power later. But I suspect then you will come back and ask again... So if you must spend 400bux id still go with a single driver setup. Then again a single 12 4th BP will be a good option too in that space.

I dont like my 4th orderBP The stupid thing play so loud it hurts my ears and for the first time ever I am turning the volume down and the lows are breaking things in my car and all of a sudden I have developed new rattles. This is on half the woofers on double the impedance which effectively means its half the power as well. This from a guy who wanted to replace two 12"s with a 18...no more please make it stop.

160DB at 5hz will make you cry

I have a 20amp line thats gonna be used strictly for the subs. It powered a QSC PL9.0 I had before without a problem so I think I should be ok. I think I have a something like a 35amps for my whole house and some how dont think that it can make it. while powering every thing else. Nice amp you have there...any experience with it? When will the subs be in?

Have u sorted the electrical?

Thats a lot of bass that will take up a lot of space. What will u power them with?

Hi Guys, Ive been using my BL's for ...i dont know 3 years or so. Awesome drivers. BUT I pulled them out the other day and the motor is showing signs of rust. Not nearly as bad as the terminals on the shitty Samsung TV after a year, but its there. Now I live at the sea and things do go bad around here. How much would it cost to rust proof these things. Maybe can add a few extra options such as Powder-coating and using Stainless where possible. I could post pics, but the fact is they still play just fine and its not nearly as bad as this post might make it sound; just sad to see rust on my babies.

just use your crossovers or buy some that suite your needs unless you want to do TA I think you should be good to go. If you have a amp like the Sundown SAZ range you can use the built in filters and you will be golden without buying any thing else.

you can find the used alpine 3 way deck super cheap as well. picked up a 9855 for 150 for my bro's install. 9815, 9813, 9835,9833,9855,9853 just to name afew. that's Awesome! around here things are ex-as hell. Good used decks keep their value and wont go below 350-400 till they die or no one wants them.

if you want to do it the hassle free way get one of the following. P80RS Alpine 9887 One step up would be the D2 (can do 3way active) eclipse 7200 All these units will do more then most people want and will give you a cd/processor combo for less then 1k. Good standalone processors will start at around $700 + but the price usually don't stop there you need to buy controllers and such unless u buy something such as the 205 but all of a sudden you are looking at double the price. in this range something like the alpine 800 or bit 1 are popular choices. Once you reach this point I would look at things like the P90 and such, but in all reality the first few will be the most logical options unless you are a heavy into SQ and then you wont be running 4 15's
