Thinking solid back plate

This is the sundown forums too Heard some sundown people almost changed teams just because of the woofers. The z might get louder but i suspect the ssa woofer will be more a case of the best of both worlds, but sounding good while doing so...if that makes sense.

I doubt I will be the first but hopefully I will have a review to post on this bad ass sub in the future Cool keep us posted

Was thinking to get these. At first its not really my taste but they do look pretty good...what do u guys think? Tires are Xtra load too which is also a good thing. 15" -> 17"

Dont forget the European amps dudes...to me they still have the best engineering and tone to them, but they are usually over priced and you quickly reach the point of diminishing return. Cant beat a sundown for a nice rounded package though

I have all the other frequecies (above 60hz) covered with the line arrays and the 500watt monoblocks that power them. Yeah those towers look dope and the price is very attractive. Are they laminated or is it a hardwood overlay? Im actually a big dynaudio fanboy. Mind telling us how they sound...or maybe compare them to something else on the market. The only proper line arrays I have heard were some Mac setups and they were really awesome.

Looks good Jon, I also took my carpet out and bought some Vinyl mat. Its nice and fat and fairly heavy cost was around 9bucks a meter. works good for under the box or just tracing out the carpet that was in there.

Also if its the bass you are concerned about its hard to track it down, unless you have the mids and highs screaming along with it.

More cone area is better...especially if you take into account the extra amount of woofers required to produce that extra output in the super low Freq range. Example a 8" driver can be very loud in a big room but will never give you that presence a 18 or whatever will give you.

Also interested to know what u will be using for LPF subsonic etc. Room looks pretty sweet. except for the exposed floor. Are those custom speakers? Maybe you can do a line array of woofers...since you say u wanted four speakers I assume you wanted one in each corner; is that right?

Its so freaken loud its the first time i actually want to turn it down, it the first time my hu skips and ive broken my a-pillars with bass before...but this is way more then the perseived 3db gain in output. Kind of pissed i wasted all that trunk space with the two 12's before. Its also the first time my eyes gets blurred as heck on some notes...not sure if there is a estimated db range for that as we dont have a meter. If someone out there want to bring a meter over this way id love to test it. Any way this system was intended for loud daily and it does sound very good for what it is. So much for a fi bl's not being suited for 4th order bp's. Id love to see what something that is bp optimized will do in the right box.

Thanks bro...Thing is ugly as hell but its hidden in the boot with only the port showing. I change things too often really care about looks these days but its build to within a mm for accuracy. Its true what they say ugly is loud.

Blast Off! More details coming later; all I will say at this point is that I am a believer in the order.

Also slapped some deadener on the B-pillar plastics since I have way too much and the panels were off anyway. So I spend a few hours this weekend building this. Loading the canon.

Before Work in progress; at this point I was a bit worried b'cos it really does look like shit. Might have been my technique as I did not make any templates. Done...and it works pretty well.

So I ordered a bit of this and a bit of that...Note my awesome garage a few levels up in the air.

here are some update pics; thanks God I havent been send to the couch yet. That is partly because I did not buy the 18 which would have been awesome but I doubt it will beat what I will post next. Super stoked. Here is the amp rack cover (shitty low light pic)which is still not done but it looks good and the misses likes it so again I was spared from the couch this past wknd.
