    craigslist box designer

Looks great if he has alright prices and can make to your specifications as precise as you would like. I like his porting designs as well.

    want a better system

Building a wall is very tricky and a particularly difficult thing to do with out the proper knowledge and a ton of time studying these forums' build logs on how to do wall builds properly(especially without experience). Most wall builds are made for more than just one speaker that utilize faaar more than 1k max watts also.

    BL 12 ported enclosure

It's good you have the tools and things you need to build your own enclosure, sure keeps the cost down, but man I'm in love with my FatBox The internal bracing, as shown above, or any close variant will be beneficial and crucial to prevent flexing of the enclosure when using any stout and powerful driver.

    want a better system

As I mentioned above it begins with electrical...how many amps is your alternator, that will determine how many watts you can run effectively on an amp which will let you decide on an amp, which will let you then decide on what size, brand, number of subs you would like to install into the enclosure you are asking for help on. When Stephen93s10 asked "what are your dimensions", he meant how much room do you have where your enclosure will be placed. No one minds helping you at all, we just need more info.

    want a better system

He already made a post just like this one...only this one is even less informative, he said in the previous post: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/62235-want-a-better-system/ ...as I stated in the last post: "Most importantly what is your electrical system like? Big 3? H/O alternator? Nice Battery(s)? That is where all good systems begin, next would be a quality install of your chosen equipment." I will add to that... Dang near ANYTHING and EVERYTHING from this forum and these stores will out-perform your Rockford Fosgate T2...If you want quality your looking in the right place. SSA, DSS, Fi, IA...all of em. We at this forum can't, don't and won't knowingly make blind suggestions about what might be the best equipment for you or your vehicle, with out knowing some facts about your vehicle, it's electrical system, what you have had, what you do have, and what it is you will ultimately want.

    BL 12 ported enclosure

The angled corners are just braces mainly, as for bracing it is more useful to have a stiff brace like this one, for example...the enclosure for my 12" Fi BL. It is more useful sound wise to "bevel" the corners of the port wall. Here is the link that shows it better, and also shows this enclosures specs for the BL/BTL enclosure: http://www.fatboxusa.com/categories/enclosures/fi-audio-enclosures.html

  16. Get a bigger alternator 1st thing, if you want to add a lot of extra electrical draw to the car's current electrical system, then upgrade the alternator and all your wiring to 1/0 guage(especially big 3 wiring) if it is not already... before you consider dropping cash on a second battery. Your current alt, is low output like mine... Mine is 90-110amps, with a really good battery under the hood and nice 1/0 gauge cable running from the alternator to the battery and amp, and more nice 1/0 gauge running to chassis ground and engine ground coupled with a good install I can run 1500-1600watts rms with out much issue. In my case I would/and am, also looking into getting a H/O Alternator FIRST, before a second battery OR before asking for more electrical draw from my cars power supply by buying a bigger amp...money will be better spent in that order to keep things powered at a more desirable, even and consistent rate. Edit: ...around my area, I WILL NOT trust amps from any pawn shop
  17. google is your friend on this one...or your local parts store. Not sure you need the Cank shaft pulley diameter for Mechman. The Make, Model, Year, engine size, idle speed, should be enough to email him...

Old Q12 help, my buddy tore my surround!

If it is worth it too you, I would send it in...However, Fi sends out recone kit's for their subs. Just go to Fi's web site and there is a recone section. Where as you don't remember the options you ordered I think sending it in is the best route, things would be done more than proper this way.

Let us know what you decided on, orientation wise, for the subs and also..when it's complete, a short vid would be killer!

    I want a 1 ohm load....

If you can easily do it, try flipping them around and see what results you get and see if you like it better. I know that in my car I REALLY prefer the subs pointing away from me towards the rear. It just depends on what sounds better inside and outside your boat. Listen to them from inside and outside the boat, then flip them around and do the same thing again to see what you like best.

Help me choose a new 15" sub

I like my Fi BL, it is nice and plays high to low, it's a 12" but if I had room I'd get a 15 because it hits lows and highs very nicely...the highs become more prominent after some break in time, the lows seem to come in stronger at first. I have not heard the SP4, but I love Fi Audio soooo.... A lot of people criticize the BL's 18mm xmax but that coupled with a REALLY powerful motor seems to be a very well rounded driver. Don't know much about the Zcon other than you can't really go wrong with those either! That is a tough choice to make between those two subs for sure...both the Zcon and the SP4 have the same xmax at 33mm, the ZCON being 2250w and the SP4 being 3000w....the SP4 is 2lbs heavier also.
