Do anyone know what volume the ddx370 starts to clip? .I've heard the excelon kenwoods can do the full 35 of 35 volume . But the ddx370 is not an excelon .. it is 35 max volume...

The eq on my head unit only goes down to 40hz

How would I go about downing the eq peak ?

I Have two sa12's on saz-1200d in a ported box @38hz its a hammer to the chest loud .. only problem its lacking low end.. box is 4 cubes total.. I don't want to give up much of that ear drum pounding that it has now but pick up low end would going to 35hz be a good change.. an would the box size need to go up or down ?

So does anyone know of a way to lower it from 38hz to say 34hz?

ok I may be wrong but I thought adding more mass inside the box ie larger sub mass would lower the ports Hz not increase the HzSure, but it will do it by changing the overall volume of the box. If the sub is .05cuft larger you just lost that space, but unless the box is uber small the difference will be pretty negligible.

Ok one more thing the box was built very strong but was built for the smaller sundown sub e12 now that I have swapped subs to the much larger sa 12 would the displacement of the sa now changer my port tuning any?

Ok so I'm running two sundown sa12's vented at 38hz 2.0 cb per sub on a saz 1200d whats probably the lowest I could safely run my ssf?

I came from using old school kicker amps that's just used a crossover chip you put inside the amp.... So with this new style less focus crossover world would you start at 35hz an work your way up or start at 300hz an go down....

I kinda see your point on the number not being as important.. but it sort of is just to know your range... It would be like going to a shop an saying build me a ported box . Ok where do you want it tuned at 32h maybe 35hz or 38hz an you say ugh a number us not important....not trying to come off a a jerk just asking if any one knows...

Well that's the problem the amp doesn't have any Hz label but 35hz to 300hz you don't have a 80hz

Hi so I have a saz 1200d I'm trying to tune it an with the crossover having a wide range from 35hz to 300 I'm trying to find 80hz to 90hz...I have heard that half way was 80hz but Idk... I'm looking at it like the 300-35= 265/2= 132+35= 167hz would be half way with that math.
