  1. I run my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X497 at 33 and have no distortion or clipping. The way I have my amp set, my H/U will distort a tiny bit on only some songs when at the full 35. Alot of it depends on if your amped up..If you are, it is equally, if not more important to make sure your voltage gains at the amp are set properly. I also reccomend running your head unit "flat"...as in all "0's" +or- 1 or 2 on bass, mid, and high settings with no bass boost to help prevent clipping and again refer to the amp for tuning.

  2. I Have two sa12's on saz-1200d in a ported box @38hz its a hammer to the chest loud .. only problem its lacking low end.. box is 4 cubes total.. I don't want to give up much of that ear drum pounding that it has now but pick up low end would going to 35hz be a good change.. an would the box size need to go up or down ?

  3. I came from using old school kicker amps that's just used a crossover chip you put inside the amp.... So with this new style less focus crossover world would you start at 35hz an work your way up or start at 300hz an go down....

  4. I kinda see your point on the number not being as important.. but it sort of is just to know your range... It would be like going to a shop an saying build me a ported box . Ok where do you want it tuned at 32h maybe 35hz or 38hz an you say ugh a number us not important....not trying to come off a a jerk just asking if any one knows...

  5. Hi so I have a saz 1200d I'm trying to tune it an with the crossover having a wide range from 35hz to 300 I'm trying to find 80hz to 90hz...I have heard that half way was 80hz but Idk... I'm looking at it like the 300-35= 265/2= 132+35= 167hz would be half way with that math.
