DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs

Looking good. 166, that's a really high score! I'll be aiming for 164 daily/kick this year. I have about 2.5 dbs to gain.

    Taramps 8k electrical?

3 runs is overkill. I only have 2 pos and 3 negs for my 3 8ks.

    Taramps 8k electrical?

obviously this is super broad and is application dependant. But ideally you want 200-400ah reserve for each 8k.
  4. Their's the whole "rumor" of having better efficiency with multiple smaller amps vs larger amps, also to lower box rise. But nothing proven or well documented to make the investment worth any. Just grab the two TFE 8.0ks or you could wait for the Taramp HD30kSPL which is 12v and 6-way protection. Expect pricing to be around 2200$-2800$ released to be sometime spring.
  5. cool thanks. will do more research. what about the voltage output issue?

could you lift the truck, cut out the wheel wells for more space, width wise? for the blow through idea. Also, Nic doesn't have a whole lot of space. Bare miminum port area, and space . idk, thinking out loud.

  14. In the above videos, note how they are charging their amplifer. Via Wall Socket.
  15. Like, are you on Facebook? Kind of creepy for you to bring this up considering today's topic on Facebook. But yes, has stated, you play your system, for whatever time, then you charge it up. You can install an on board charger with an convertor. Or, you can charge at home. Or, do as the brazilians do, and plug into your local wall socket. At this point, NO charging is required. Fortunate for me, and many US competition events. There are open wall sockets to plug into. So charging could be done, as rare as once a month.
