  2. If you have a huge budget and want to save weight and get the other benefits of neo's it's worth it, but for the casual daily listener no I wouldn't recommend them, except maybe the fi btl's, there still as cheap as similar subs and who wouldn't love one or 8 of those ran inverted I almost got 2 myself may still.

I detailed a new jeep a couple of weeks ago for a girl and it had 37"s and been lifted really nice jeep, but she didn't upgrade anything to accommodate the huge wheels, and tires and the day after I took it back the transmission went out with only 7k miles on the jeep. The huge tires had it geared so high you only needed 3 gears to drive it and it was a 6 speed auto. I think the dealer is gonna replace it though. But if she doesn't upgrade the axles it's just gonna fry it again.
  4. Neodymium magnets are a rare earth metal that generally cost more then tradition speakers and they hold a high magnetic charge. They provide a much stronger magnetic flux density in the air gap allowing much higher force in the voice coil. Plus they have the advantage of being smaller, and weighing less. Either style can sound just as good, the choice is really up to you.

    Ideas for my System

If you are wanting to just use the factory location I would just do a 2-way active front stage with as much bass as You can fit. You can always adjust volume levels to make it all blend, so that no one frequency range is over powering the other. Ideally you want 20-40% as much power up front as your sub stage. But that's just a rough estimate, as some sub stages are louder on less power and some front stages are the same.

I didn't do a thing wrong, you did. All I Said was, I did the same thing with components and didn't feel a need to use raw drivers LIKE THE OP, then you CHANGED what I said to start a argument, as you always do. Then you cuss and threaten me for not agreeing with your non sense. Had I known this was a forum for Sean's ego to be stroked, and nobody can share opinions but yours, I would have never joined anyways. I Guess these trophy's, and my 25 years in audio don't matter cause some dude who measures one aspect of audio doesn't agree. I met a lot of guys like you working for JL, they all think there above reproach, then we PROVED them wrong. Honestly if you can't stand no one else having an opinion or anyone being here that want kiss your ass, DO YOUR WORSE! Guys just remember I tried making piece with this goober, and he doesn't want that, he wants me to accept his OPINION, as if he is a audio god above everyone. Also Aaron, or Mark this guy is costing you countless sales, and new forum members, so I really hope he is all he thinks he is, but I don't see it. All I see is a power tripping guy who sounds like he isn't used to anyone else having an opinion.

You can and I did if those 2 seats are in a small S-10 and the driver and passengers heads are almost touching lol. Like I said before I sat in the center and set it then when we would ride down the road leaning on the arm rest it was damn close.

My Jeep came with a amp under the drivers seat and I have the exact same tweeters on my dash. All I have in mine is a Memphis 10" and a memphis amp to match, more low end fill then anything.

Do you realize I'm just talking about time alignment, not anything else? Obviously it didn't sound like setting in the driver seat, I'm just saying it was just OK for the passenger nothing more. And that wasn't very often had one friend that noticed so I played with it until it was not so noticeable, nothing more. And a lot of this is listener preference to, what I like you may not like, and vise Versa. I have seen sq judges at meca events totally disagree on cars, doesn't mean either one was wrong just different taste.

    Pioneer 8100NEX - Excellent condition

I know this is sold but I have a question about these aftermarket units. Do you have to have a contract on a phone or anything to use the gps on these units or do they just bolt up and work? The only gps I have ever used was factory, and I have never ran a unit with aftermarket gps. Just curious how that works.

I did the same thing your doing in my old S-10, and didn't feel a need to change out the components for raw drivers. I just took out the passive crossovers on my Alpine's and used a alpine 9887 for active signal to a set of 2 channel amps, and it worked great. It took a lot of listening, and adjusting to get it right, but I was very pleased with the end result. It wasn't the loudest setup I have had but it was one of the best sounding with everything being on axis and properly staged and aligned. I had 2 pre-sets so I could aim it for the driver or the center for when someone was with me. If both passengers leaned to the middle on the arm rest the time alignment was almost right, close enough anyways.

Yes they sound great to. Just something about the way the 302 is made, it makes them have the best bellow, like even better then far superior engines with more power, like my brothers hellcat. His dodge will eat my mustang for breakfast, but mine sounds meaner. My cousin Mark Smith designs proto type engines for ford in Dearborn, may ask him what it is about the 302 that gives it such a great sound over other engines like the chevy LS engines.

Preview of my new box for 2 xcons

As bad as I hate to agree with dude, he is right on this one. ^ I was going to type almost the same thing. The only reason not to run inverted, is if the sub want work, like my 13w7 with it's hidden screw holes, or if your box is already to big or to flimsy. Obviously if you have a monster sub like a SMDV2, and a weak box with 1/2 inch, or 3/4 wood and no bracing, you wouldn't want to stress it and possibly break the box. Other then that do it.

Thanks man, I never dreamed I would ever own a new ford, but they gave me such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. I actually went to buy a Camaro, and lucked up on a left over 5.0 with a huge rebate, so instead of paying 1/4 more for a 2016 Camaro I got the Ford. I can't wait to here the new exhaust, honestly 5.0's are not the strongest engines out there, but do they ever sound good with headers, and after market exhaust.

    (2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk

Just get any cheap amp like say a sound quibed 2200 and run it at 2ohm for 1100 watts. Honestly you want hear the differenc between 1100-1200 and 1500. And it will be easier on your amp and electrical and you can always wire down to 1ohm and drop the hammer if you ever want more, provided you have subs with the right coils of course.
