1kw+ amp resistance with a poll!

I was just wondering what most 1kw + amps do max power at and remain stable according to manufacturer at. If your 1 ohm stable amp can go to .5 ohm stable with some modding lets classify it is as doing max power at 1 ohm for the sake of this thread. Feel free to post what amp you have, what resistance it does max power at, and what rms power at that resistance is. -

smoking is a definite no go. IMO it looks incredibly tacky on bimmers. I am planning on getting the hella led teillights that came stock on the 01+ 5er's. They are very pricey though and I am going to pay off as much of this car as possible before I begin modding seriously. Though, with any luck, expect some noticeable changes ina month or so.

as much as I love you guys, you are actually only half the reason for me wantning to go. The thought of running into some nice cars that might want to play a little on the way is just tormenting me. What freeways do I TAKE TO GET THERe? Too bad its acting up. It would've been fun to play a little. I'll bet it would pretty close at low speeds seeing as how you are probably geared more for lower speeds. Mine will still do 0-60 un der 6, but it really doesnt shine until 40+. I'll bet you love that v8 power. I was sitting at an empty stop sign earilier tonight and deciided to turn off dsc, rev it up a littl and then drop the clutch. Those tires did not want to stop spinnin I need to work on more controlled launches now that v8 will not let you cover up mistkaes like that.

hmmm, I am really tempted to go. I'm gonna burn at least a half tank though going there and coming back, but what the hell, I'm sure it'll be worth it. When are you gonna go up Dennis? Maybe we could caravan on up. lol.

I disagree with the comments here. There is not a single eD woofer in the comparison and it will be a blind test. It seems just as fair as any other test you can conduct. Even if you despise Ben, he is not the only one judging. All boxes will be built to manufacturers recommendations and once again the tests are blind tests. THe only thing I could see eD having against ss is that they are TC woofers. lol. I think its a pretty cool idea and the results will be interesting.

I just purchased a 540i/6 today and I am soooooooooooooooooo excited. This car is amazing. It is a 99 blk on blk 6 spd with xenons and only 50k miles. I got it for $20,500 and I am absolutely loving it. I am somewhat of a novice with stick, so starting is a little rough still but once I am out of first I can make this thing fly! Now for what you all want to see

I detailed my car today and decided to go down to the beach to take some pics after I finished. I was running out of light and my waxer broke, so I had to rush putting on wax on one of the sides by hand and it didn't come out perfect. The rest of the car looks amazing though

I just got back from an all day driving school with driving concepts and it was awesome! I really got to push this thing to its limits and find out exactly where they are. It handles amazingly well and the brakes are awesome too. I am still learning the stick, but I am 100x better now. I reaaaaally need to be careful when I'm in 5th gear though. I was cruising at around 3 or 3.5k doing about 80 when i decided to punch it. Within seconds I was doing 120 (can your lincoln do that ). I didn't even realize how fast I was going and half scared myself. I am beginning to wonder if I am ever going to find 6th on this thing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if i didnt have a limiter on my car yes, i bet i could do more than that, c;mon its a V8, it gets to 110 and just stops, dam limiter, but off the line i bet you couldn't touch me <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ahh, and the different intents of each of our cars come out. I am sure your lincoln has much lower gearing which makes it great off the line, but robs its top end (not that this is bad at all). The bimmer on the other end was geared towards autobahn driving in which 6th gear is almost unattainable under 100, though it is still no slouch off the line. 0-60 times c1an often be seen under 6and many 540's have trapped 100-110 on the 1/4 iirc. I spoke with an instructor yesterday at this driving course and he said he took his 540 up to 170

I live at the beach. I can't even remember the last time it was 100 here, but I guess on an 80 degree day the black interior would get pretty hot. Myabe in the future I'll tint it. Its something to think about.

i am consideirng it. Possibly dark all around, but maybe just medium all around. I am coming from a jeep with the equivalent of about limo - double limo on all windows and dark on the windshield so I am no stranger to tint. I am just not sure if I want it on the bimmer. I think it looks very clean without tint and I want this car to maintain the cleanest appearance possble.
