My roomate was watching me design a t-line and said "hey, I can make one better than that, all you have to do is make a maze and throw speakers in" I told him the principle of a t-line and he said "watch, mine will revolve around the speed of sound." This is his product and it is the ultimate subwoofer enclosure! Just thought I'd share... I may have to incorporate mewtwo and jedi in to my next enclosure...

Which Cap
Smanleyman replied to wof131s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
because they make good caps yea i heard that too -
Typically a t-line is tuned to the subwoofers fs, in this case either 41.5 for d1 or 40.3 for d2. This seems high but a t-line has lower extension, and the higher frequency results in a smaller box. I don't think I would give it more than 1000 in a t-line.

I just went to kickers site to look up info on my cousins comps and their entire site has been redone and they have a new sub in their lineup, the solo classic. They claim it to be very musical in small sealed enclosures, and now im really curious if maybe kicker has finally made something halfway worthwhile... anyone know anything about them?

when i was 14 i was probably 5' and 200 lbs, and pretty much none was muscle. My mom has been overweight her whole life and has used pretty much every diet there is. Still her most successful, and the same one I used to go from 200 to 160 in the course of a summer was simply counting calories. Sure, different foods break down differently in the body, and 2000 calories of bud and snickers isnt the same as 2000 calories of broccoli, but theoretically you can eat only snickers, and lose weight, granted you take vitamins to get proper nutrients. The key factor to losing weight in the most simple breakdown, is burning more calories than you take in. Your bodies natural metabolism will burn a fair amount, and exercise can only help. I started counting calories in everything I ate, my diet had white bread, ice cream, noodles, any form of chicken, red meat, whole milk cheese, pizzas, it really didnt matter as long as I allocated 1600 calories a day at the beginning of my diet, and every 2 weeks I lowered it by 100 until I got to 1200 and stayed at 1200 for a few weeks. I worked out an hour a day three days a week on our bowflex, and I didnt hit 200 again until my freshman year in college, with 11 more inches in height and a lot more muscle on me. If its possible for you eat only foods that you can read the nutrition labels on, try counting calories, and just be reasonable with carbs and sweets but you dont have to cut them out, and aim for around 2500 calories a day, and see what happens. If in two weeks you notice a difference in how you feel and what you weigh, stay with it until the results diminish, then drop it to 2300, then when that loss slows down bring it to 2200 and go in 100 calorie increments every time it slows down, down to maybe 1700, and stay there. This is exactly what I plan on doing this next semester at school. Ive put on 40 lbs of beer and munchies in the last 3 years and im ready to lose it, and I know this strategy works. Another option is tie a belt around your stomach and to your nightshades and just do that massage thing people use that vibrates or whatever the hell it does... haha let us know if you decide to try, and take pics!

ive never heard the old school kickers but it sounds like they were pretty nice? I really wanna hear one of these new guys and see if kicker actually made something worth listening to again. Anyone have a clue on release date?

Very nice quote from AudioQue duran... I completely agree 1 18" BTL would do better in the cougar... For the suv 2 15 or 18 Bls would definitely do the job with 2000-3000 rms
-
uhhh the brand new 2009 soloclassics... anyone heard good/bad about them?
-
btl 15 and saz-3000 with an extra battery or two and HO alternator and tons of 0 ga seriously though a budget and a db number isnt enough info to pick out a system with

Ive had my Q15 between ported and sealed about 3 times I love them both. Im ported at 31hz right now its much louder but not quite as even of a response... I would also say the high end is a little lacking, so when Im in a very rock mood I throw it back in sealed. The Q is just amazing overall just get it in a fi recommended size box and it will sound good no joke.
-
w7 can lick my nuts.... i loved that. OP, do you know you want? W6 vs Q vs BL...? A q will be incredibly louder than a w6 with very similar sound, the bl is a different league its not even supposed to be sealed its just made to be a beast...

Which is better for 2 12" MTX 9500??

well with the driver window down on an unknown mic it hit 148.2 facing forward and its louder rear-firing, but that number pretty much means nothing since I dont know what mic my local shop has and I wasnt sealed up... with your amp you cant go wrong with a 15 q or bl in a nice ported box around 3.5-4 cubes @ 31-32hz
-
haha wow okay... if you wanna use your amp I think a 15" BL with cooling ported would do a great job

how are we rating these subs? Sound quality? Low end? Spl? Ill rank them based on how much I want one... BTL ~ 17/20 Type R ~ 3/20 Mofo ~ -1/20 Around there...
